There’s no critical thinking involved in saying “0.7 matchmaker achieve 15.7 decompression faster with less work”, if you think that is critical thinking, maybe your headmaster stole your school lector wage.
If you ignore the changes to br adjustments, then yes. It gets the same effect.

There are actually people playing for fun and entertainment only - either they have grinded all the stuff they want to play or they see grinding as a pure side effect of playing the game.
The issue is more that long term players tend to be way more demanding regarding the actual game play in Air RB.

Just try to fight a rookie in Yak-3 whilst you as experienced player fly a Avia S-199. The BR difference is just 1.0 - but the performance gap is far higher and all you can do is to wait for multiple and massive mistakes of the Yak-3 player - otherwise you have no chance.
This is something that i wish more people did. I used to only play to grind and it has such a stress fest. I then started to play the vehicles i had just to play them and it was so much better.
Im still passively grinding so when i get that pop-up, it is a nice little surprise.

Never denied that the 0.7 change could be done quickly.
I simply dont see it as an actually fix but rather a bandaid.
Because you think any solution that can be applied quickly as inherently dogwater. Maybe you lack the forethought and insight. But if you just see how much 0.7 frontload the balancing issue fixes while easing gaijin to only maintain a once-a-two-year BR increase instead twice or thrice a year you would not be saying this.
I just dont want br changes to be more controversial while giving gaijin a big excuse to stop increasing the max br.
Not exactly. If they went and announced “we are increasing the max br by 1.0 and adjusting all brs at once” i would be happy.
Im not happy with the current pace of br increases and they should either do it more regularly or increase by a larger amount when they do.
