ZSU-23-4M4 over tiered

Yea but its 9.7
I talked about the us one just to note there is lower br missile spaa then 9.3

true, but its missiles are crap, if they don’t chase flares they lock onto ordnance fired from particularly helicopters. And lets not forget the huge smoke trail, only positive about the Chaparal is the number of missiles it carries.

Tbh in this br most aircraft doesnt have flares and i didnt find it as bad even at 9.3
Only.problem is far helis that u cant do nothing exept hiding

isnt Lav AD at 10.3 now? If so idk how because it doesnt even have a search radar, its only trick is unreliable and hard to aim anti tank rockets that dont even have much pen.

The LAV-AD has way more stuff than any of the other manpads slingers.

Meanwhile the ozelot/gepard 1a2 both being 9.7 despite the igla being better

like?

I know it gets hydras and I guess more stingers but more missiles means less with ammo boxes, and not having any search capability really limits it

It’s not just “more stingers”, it gets 4x as many. You see a plane trying to do stuff, you can just keep sending them out almost endlessly. A Gepard 1A2 or ZSU-23-4M4 with ammo boxes only have 8, the LAV-AD has 16 without using its ammo box.

The Hydras are very useful at short range and can easily deal with MBTs that the other 2 can’t (and you STILL get 12 stingers), and the gun has way less tracers making it harder to dodge.

What are you on about, it isn’t better than stinger.
Gepard is a better platform while Ozelot trades the gun for extremely small size, great speed, IRST and thermals.

They aren’t equal.

Igla is not better

Here you go. Also to those going “You’re not leading enough!”

  1. I cut a lot of the misses, for the sake of the video. I do lead, and know how to lead, and lead a couple of times in the video (like with the Mistral)
  2. I don’t have to lead with the Russian IR missiles. At all.
  3. The TAN SAM may be the best IR SAM in the game, but it is at a BR where it is irrelevant and outranged by everything.

M4’s missile has some sort of thrust vectoring at the start to help it maneuver off the rail.
Regardless, I’d much rather use missiles with uncaged seekers that you can actually have some control over in the first few seconds of their flight time, so you can lob them over obstacles.

Using caged seekers against low flying aircraft is misery.

Seems to work fine for me. I can hit things with the Igla in battles faaaaar easier than any other MANPAD launcher.

does the igla have seeker memory function?

No no no, a better question to ask is: Has Gaijin implemented that?

Don’t think so.

Works fine until it doesn’t.
Caged seeker can be borderline unusable on some maps.

in the game, stingers have it and its extremely useful
do iglas have it?

Are you talking about the seeker shut off?

no, seeker memory function. if the target is lost the seeker will continue following the predicted path and you can still fire and for me it often kills targets that have flied behind buildings or trees or whatever
does igla have it?
