But large missile box also make it a big target. when act like a F&F missile launcher, you need to let the missile see the target, meaning the missile will outside the cover.
AFT-10 has a massive telescopic optics and fire essential electronic mast that can be retracted or deployed, don’t have exact height numbers, but from the picture it looks like around 2m.
in current game, f&f missile need to lock by it self, in aft10, it means you can watch by telescopic optics, but if the missile is behind anything, it cant lock.
Not necessary true, the QN506 can lock and fire from behind cover, locking based on extended commander optics. Though it barely works as is with all FF ground missile implementations.
But if they want to include more systems like AFT-10 etc. they need to improve these features of the game, otherwise there’s no point of having them in the game per-se, in fact most modern ATGMs are still broken in one way or another, they should take a look at the whole ATGM implementation for ground forces, because I’m tired of having games where every single missile kills, and then games where you can shoot 10 missiles at an aluminium wheeled vehicle and all they do is damage optics.
thats because QN506’s sight position is modeled at 30mm gun in RB like ifvs, same hight as missiles, but for pure missile vehicles, the sight is on the real position

The QN506 is unable to lock on anything its gunner sights cant see. This prevents it from locking and shooting at targets while behind cover. Have you succeeded in locking and firing on something while behind cover?
