CM-502KG wouldn’t be gamebreaking

It has 25km stated range but all other missiles with similar ranges can’t even lock or track targets until 6-10km (even the powerful Kh-38MT can’t track until ~10km), sure you can DUMB fire it but without GNSS it will be inaccurate

11kg HE or SAPHE warhead is basically nothing. It will be used for killing SPAA or IFVs if anything

LOAL F&F capable missiles like Spike have their LOAL capability disabled soooo… why can’t CM-502KG?

A top tier heli in this new meta where SPAA players can launch mad dog F&F missile is going to be useless.
If it has to take 20+ seconds to paint a target with a laser because the missile is as slow as a baseball, then idk what reason Gaijin wants to let China have their CM-502KG.

Why not add an F&F mode-only CM502KG then? Just do what you guys did with the SPIKE that is LOAL capable IRL. Or maybe add the IR seeker F&F Blue Arrow-7 (AKD-10’s export name)?
The range doesn’t mean anything practically in-game, nothing renders properly beyond 15km in GRB and sketchy LOD/terrain glitches are everywhere beyond 10km, it can be easily balanced via changing the locking distance, and it won’t be a game-breaker, at least not something like the KH-38.
There is no real improvement compared to the original Z-10 in its current state except the DIRCM (which isn’t worth the 420,000 + 100,000 RP equipment grind IMO), which would make the helicopter perform extremely lame, and it wouldn’t be an exciting addition especially when there are so many SPAA added alongside in this update.
I personally (and I believe many others) will have 0 interest in buying the heli in advance/ skipping the stock grind using GE, which is a Lose & Lose case scenario for both the revenue and the players.

Not even 16 rounds of AKD10, if the future cm502 is a piece of garbage, this is naked discrimination.

They wouldn’t, something is infinitely better than nothing for us Chinese players at this point, we already have the consensus that the game will never be a 100% accurate representation of the real world.

As far as I know, the Russian Kh-38 has a range of 40 km, while the CM502 on the Z-10ME only has a range of 25 km. Therefore, to balance things, the Kh-38 should be removed from Russian fighter jets.

If the Z-10ME had fire-and-forget missiles, I wouldn’t mind using GE to unlock this helicopter. But as it stands, the Z-10ME still uses outdated weaponry—I don’t even want to research it.

You know, Chinese players and foreign players often have different views on Chinese vehicles. But this time I am glad to see that we have gained unity in the face of this universally recognized useless heli made by Gaijin.

I don’t see any needs to grind for this copy paste z-10me which has no fire and forget missiles – cm502, which has been there for 2 years in the file, and z-10me should be able to use it

what’s the point of adding them to the game if I would still play it the way as the old Z-10?

PL-8B turns out to have exact the same seeker of an R73, and the same air frame of PL-8. Anyone complaining that it is too overpowering in game? no one had ever said that.

Just adding a radar and jamming system warrants developing a whole new helicopter? If this were a Russian aircraft, a retrofit kit would suffice. Even fitting it with a CM502 missile could pass it off as “new”—don’t argue CM502 is overpowered; you’ve selectively tweaked performance for countless other weapons already. What’s one more exception?Fold it up, no player will waste time on the skin changing helicopter

Hi Smin, I notice that there is an accepted issue showing a photo taken during the Zhuhai Airshow, in which Z10ME has a “Laser Warning” sign on the DIRCM device, that Mi28MN’s in-game model also has one on its device, indicating that these two Heli’s DIRCMs work similarly. However, the issue pointed out that Z10ME’s Dircm in the last test server could not intercept advanced IR missiles like spikes.
I’m not sure if it is fixed in this test sever, the issue’s status remains “accpeted” but not “fixed”. So I’m here to ask whether the Z10ME’s DIRCM issue is fixed, or is Gaijing planning to fix that during the second test sever?

Though not related to this post’s topic, but I still have to complain that CN tech tree lacks IR FnF weaponary for years, and most CN mains are planning to play Broken Arrow instead of Warthunder, is there nothing Gaijin can do about it, or is our voice doesn’t matter at all?

This Z10ME modification could have simply been implemented as a retrofit kit for the existing Z10, likely requiring only 30,000 to 50,000 XP to unlock. Beyond this upgrade, it’s virtually identical to the original Z10. Why designate it as a separate variant that forces us to waste 400,000+200,000 XP? Does the Z10ME possess any distinctive features justifying this cost? While the US operates numerous Apache variants, at least they differentiate between AGM-114K and AGM-114B missiles. Yet all Z10 models - whether base, A, or ME - remain limited to eight slow-moving AKD-10 missiles. The mod team stated that the 25km-range CM502 missile is too overpowered and won’t be added. Yet they must be incredibly proud of the 40km-range Kh-38, believing it represents perfect balance—doubtless their proudest achievement. Never mind that the game engine won’t render ground targets at 25km anyway. To even launch missiles, helicopters must venture within 10km of combat zones, fire, then wait a full minute only to likely miss. These are helicopters, not third-generation jets!

Let we divide your explanation into two:25km range and FOF with LOAL.
similar range missle carried by heli (like spike)can only lock within 12KM,comparied with AA monster and pantsir s1 in next game version,do you think spike is too powerful?
Beside the catalouges says nothing about LOAL,if developers believe it have,you can just reduce it to reach a balance(like brimstone),FOF itself wont be too powerful,or it is a must for heli to survive in BR 12.0 or above.
JUST COPY z10 and add an DIRCM to make an item like Z-10me,with the picture of CM502 and model in game but not adding it,there must be some reason behind it,behind the technical reason.
i know the developers have made the final decision, so please allow me have my guess:The REASON is Product 305.
CM502 must not be added into tech tree before the Product 305 come into game.
French,Germany, Italy,all these European tech tree can enjoy the FOF missile but only the China tech tree mustn’t.
WHY? not hard to guess.
I hope the develop team can finish the Product 305 ASAP ,which will increase the possibility of CM502 being added to Z-10ME from 0 to unknown.
