Hey @Mahiwew since u said u were updating the post some time ago, could u remove M-20UP-1 from Unused Vehicles list since it was proved that its a fake tank that was created online.
Dont think this was suggested yet, but there is a single version of a M-84 with fixed Zastava M55 on top its barrel that was used at targeting range for easier range finding and practicing.
It’s already mentioned in the Google Doc
Where is it mentioned that its fake, unless u meant to reply for the Zastava m55 one , since i now saw its in there (i am blind asf)
I indeed intended to remove it, as at some point I stumbled upon the M-84 picture that felt… familiar. May be one of the more successful gaslights in regards to Yugoslav vehicles.
In regards to the M-84 with M-75 20mm, I intended to add it as a premium to replace the AMV MTC-30.
Suggestion to add the Partizan Tank, assault tank as a premium event vehicle at - 1.0 br

True History
The Yugoslav Partizans really wanted a tank to retake a village of Srb so the Serbs had somewhere to live after the war. One engineering dropout Stevo Brozović, decided after a long night of heavy drinking that a fuel tank would make the best possible defense against machinegun fire. So they stole one from the local train yard, cut it in half. Figured they had to actually give the bloody thing the ability of locomotion. Stole some wheelchairs from the local hospitals (don’t worry there were no cripples in communist countries) and popped them on easy peasy. No room for an engine so they either had to Fred Flintstone the tucker around or use a donkey to tow it around like its modern day Russian logistics.
Now before they sent it out to charge a fortified position. Stevo wanted to increase the chances of getting killed in the first minute from a “probably” to a “maybe”. So they did a test run on the armor with a machine gun and found that maybe building your APC out of something meant to hold 200 gallons of fuel wasn’t the brightest pencil in the pencil case idea.
The base armor was 6 - 8 mm thick so they added 4.5 mm plate. Shot at it. Machine gun still penetrated. Added another steel plate 4.5 mm thick. But this time it was spaced out and they added sand and whatever they could find on the ground to fill the air gap in-between the plates.
This made it the first vehicle to use composite armor. T-64 eat your heart out.
The thing didn’t have any real guns. But it did have a thin, three sided shield with decoy barrels so a Italian facing the front of this thing would never ever for any reason try to shoot below that shield even if he did notice that the apparent guns weren’t aimed at him but shots were still coming his way from the vehicle.
After the design was ready the Italians stationed at Srb got so scared by Stevo’s super weapon that they up and left. Partizans decided that it would be cruel to have the enemy get killed by a trash bin on wheels and decided to use whatever the Italians and Germans left behind.
It is said that the vehicle still resides somewhere In the Croatian History Museum’s back yard. Waiting for the next war.
Specs
Speed: Depends on the crew or donkey
Engine: Look at “Speed”. But lets say 4 km/h
Weight: No clue but I bet six guys could lift it.
Crew: Either 8 children or 4 adults
Armor: ~15 - 17 mm + 60 - 80 mm of sand and stuff. Also bottom was 4.5 mm thick and a dome above was probably 6 - 8 mm thick since it was part of the original fuel tank.
Armament: 4 x whatever gun they brought to work that day.
Secondary armament: Hand grenades.

this is Serbian Cyrillic, the text on the barrel says “victory for the people”
+1 This tree should be strong enough to stand on its own.
Does it not say victory is ours? Definitely does not say victory for the people
It’s Russian Cyrillic
Yugoslavia to War Thunder’s ground tech tree is an interesting idea, but it comes with some serious drawbacks. On one hand, it would introduce a mix of Soviet, Western, and homegrown designs, giving players access to a diverse lineup with some unique modifications.
A few of its domestic vehicles would bring fresh mechanics, and its rich military history could make progression feel meaningful. I always like the idea of adding more nations because it keeps the game evolving and gives players more options.
But then there’s the downside. Yugoslavia relied heavily on imported equipment, so a lot of its vehicles already exist in other tech trees.
That makes it a tough sell if players can already use these tanks in other nations, what’s the real incentive to grind Yugoslavia separately?
Balancing could also be a nightmare, with Soviet and Western vehicles thrown together in a way that might make matchmaking feel messy. Documentation issues could further complicate things, as some vehicles don’t have reliable records for Gaijin to work with.
And there’s a major problem with lineup depth. From what it looks like, the tree wouldn’t really have much to offer until Rank VII below that, you’d mostly be using vehicles that exist elsewhere, which makes the progression path feel weak.
Then there’s the risk of the tree relying too much on premiums and event vehicles rather than a solid, grindable lineup.
Honestly, I get where you’re coming from, but it might end up as one of the “ugly sisters” that barely anyone picks because other nations offer the same vehicles in a stronger tech tree.
I love the idea of more nations, but unless Yugoslavia can bring something truly unique all the way through the tiers, it might struggle to stand out.
China has shown that that is very much a nonissue for Gaijin.
There are a multitude of indigenous vehicles in the tree below rank 6. Modifications are still indigenous.
Which, as shown in this post, it can.
China has taken quite some time to reach this stage, but I would obviously prefer to see more indigenous vehicles added to the nation rather than imported designs from other countries.
I believe that incorporating more homegrown vehicles would contribute to a healthier and more sustainable game ecosystem in the long run.
I’m genuinely worried that Gaijin might approach this implementation in a way that feels more like a placeholder simply assigning a fixed RP cost per vehicle, rather than introducing something innovative or dynamic.
I hope so, but the choice is down to Gaijin at the end of the day, more Nations are always welcome.
The thing that matters the most is that more independent nations are confirmed to be planned, and Yugoslavia is the only nation that, on its own, can sustain all five trees without outside help, making it the best candidate.
Mfw when half of the other trees ( especially sweden at high tier and china here and there. Israel at least has significant mods on their imports.)
Yuga is the only other tree capable of sustaining itself top to bottom and should be honored as such, especially because of it’s historical significance.
I welcome the addition of new nations (everytime), as each one contributes to the longevity of the game for years to come. If it were up to me, I’d recommend this proposal:
This approach would streamline the integration of nations with limited options while also benefiting those with more extensive selections, like Yugoslav.
