So I was thinking of a way they could add the YF-23 and YF-22 without being completely greedy about it. Have it as an event where you’re able to get one of the two for free — say, maybe 500k total mission score or 700–750k RP for the one you choose at the start. You get two weeks to complete it.
Once you choose one, you can’t go back. You either unlock or buy that one. I’d say 6k GE is a fair price.
So let’s say you pick the YF-23 — you grind for a week and a half, unlock it, and cool, you have it permanently. But if you also want the YF-22, you have no choice but to pay 6k GE for it.
You’d also need to have rank 8 America unlocked to even be able to do the event. Kinda like how the Maus works for Germany — you need rank 5 German ground to be able to research the Maus. Same idea here, but it’s a one-time event.

Too complicated. If they are added as events they should be the normal ones we have now. Also I think only the 23 will be an event and the YF-22 will not be added in any form.

Yea i get you on the yf22 not being added at all but at the same time its gaijin they love money if they are able to make money off it their gonna do a event for both and 1 will be forced to pay

They could but people would go fucking insane seeing they are some of the most known and loved prototypes to ever have a chance of being added and a event just makes more sense for them especially seeing to be able to do it the way i said you would need rank 8 usa air unlocked to even have the chance to do it meaning theres not thousands of people spamming it immediately like the f14 iriaf was
I don’t know. I have no problem rank locking premiums as you suggest. They are not going anywhere (most of the time). But rank locking events which are already time locked? That would cause a bigger uproar than them being 90USD premiums.
It could be just rank 6 or above of any nation but it doesnt need to be rank 3 like it normally is after the iriaf was added it was like 3 weeks of f14 spam and was terrible it needs to be mainly for those who have already put time and money into the game because thays what gaijin wants is to make more money but if they purely lock them up then people will start leaving the game due to blatant greed
I would assume one of the two would be a premium/event and another tech tree, seeing as how the mirage 4k is in the tech tree and not premium.
I wouldn’t mind if they did the yf22 as a premium since the f22 will come to the tech tree but the yf23 either needs to be a event or tech tree cause theres no better version of it

the YF-23 never had a radar or flares or RWR or missiles or gun and it was even cancelled before the aim120 entered service and also 6 years before its intended radar was even flown on a 757 testbed
That doesnt mean they cant take some libertys the yf22 used the f14d radar to test aim120s idk about the rwr situation but they could just check with northrop or someone who knows and find out what was planned before it was canceled

Exactly gaijin does whatever bullshit they want all the time theres no reason to say the yf23 wouldnt have been given the same systems the yf22 was so f14d radar idk what rwr maybe f16 rwr i also dont know what cm suit the yf22 was given so id say f18c would be a fair system but if the 23 made it past first testing it wouldve been given the exact same systems as yf22 so it was fair
