Iowa have 11 Hull sections and Sovetsky Soyuz have 9 Hull sections but yamato only have 8 Hull sections . Yamato Loss of buoyancy is easier than other ship in top tier。

Would be a more fair alternative to help it stay a bit longer. At least let it stay broadside for longer time but right now you cant even do that to well since youll just die from the sections being destroyed quickly.

But when players meet Yamato, they always focus on shooting its turret 1 and 2, and that’s the same thing happen to other top tier ships. But in this update, all ship’s hull health was seriously nerfed, also this is the only way to sink Soyuz. So typically, hull sections is not an important things to Yamato’s poor survival ability now.
Increased number of Hull Sections doesn’t really mean anything if the number of destroyed adjacent sections needed for unsinkability affect to take place remains 3, you’d need to increase that as well.

In addition, Yamato is the only newly launched battleship without any antifragmentation armor layer inside the main armor box, while other battleships have internal structures ranging from 7mm to 25.4mm inside the armor belt, which ensures that they will not experience a catastrophic explosion when penetrated, but Yamato has nothing.

In terms of anti-sinking ability even mutsu and amagi are better than yamato
