YaK-9K's BR is kinda underestimated(in GRB)

YaK-9K can kill uttermost everything before something that has more than 50mm of top armor, which isn’t very common in 4.7. even with somewhere like 7.7 or 8.7(which is far too much overmatch), it doesn’t really matter because YaK-9K can easily pen all their roof when strafing helpless tanks without proper AA solutions. this becomes even weird when you realize that most vehicles with thick roof belongs to soviet, which is YaK-9K’s original nation tree. this plane should be nerfed up to 5.7 or maybe 6.7 in GRB/GSB, where it could be defeated within more ease. in a similar case, Me 262 A is equipped with a similar caliber autocannon and a jet engine in 7.0. this proves the YaK-9K’s proper BR range to 5.7~6.3, which would make it “less” broken than before.

6.7 germany is hard too kill with it, and thats about it. Played the Yak9K from 4.0 to 8.0 and only at that specific BR did it not feel utterly broken OP.

so it should be 5.7 or 6.0, right?

No. Why would it be?

There is Jak-9UT at 6.0

You can eaisly destroy Tiger IIs and Jagdtigers with It

no.
You literally need to come in at 1 specific angle which puts you at great risk from any and all SPAA

Compare that to almost any other vehicle you can face which you can often times pen from almost any angle.
Take the Panthers, those you can pen and oneshot kill from anywhere but the front at any given angle of attck as long as you do not stack angles. Side pens, back pens, roof pens, rear turret, all one shot kills.
Same goes for most other vehicles.

The Tiger II you can pen only from right above and only either in the front or rear of the turret depending on your attack vector, e.g. if you come from the back or front. A side approach is not a reliable or realistic option. The JT is very similar as the armour on the roof is still too thick to reliably pen at any but the steepest angles.

So compared to everything else Tiger II, JT and similar are very hard to kill.

Yes.

I have done it multiple times and blowing up Tiger II H is the best feeling. My Yak-9K stats come only from GRB.

“mimimimi I have done it multiple times”

Means jack all

I stated facts. Not feelings

All my Yak 9 games come from ground RB, almost all of them have been done at 7.0-8.0 and the Tiger II, JT and similar are among the hardest targets to kill in it. That is a simple fact that can be proven by simply looking at their arour layout.

You are talking about “can it be killed” which is stupid. the question is not “can” but “how hard/easy is it”

And again it is among the hardest kills you face in the Yak 9K

What a nice way to Copy Paste my post for extra likes:(YaK-9K: Remove it's APHE belt or move it up to 5.7 in GRB

Comparing the Yak-9K with the Me-262A-1a/U4 is awkward. I know both vehicles were made with same purpose: to destroy bombers and other larger targets and I know that in War Thunder they don’t do neither of these tasks but,

In a scenario where you move a propeller to a jet fighter area doesn’t really make it balanced in the right definition of the word, but making one side not balanced at all, and on top of that there are vastly superior platforms that can easily counter the Yak-9K.

I’m not advocating that the Yak-9K is balanced on your perspective of view, as it had its battle rating in ground battles increased and it’s a good thing. Just because some can perform good with the plane at higher battle rating doesn’t mean everyone can do.

You don’t own rights nor can give copyrights over a specific topic, if that was the case we’d have one single ‘Russian Bias is real and I can prove it’ thread which is not the case.

But for the first time I see someone at the Forums claiming ownership over a specific topic, and which you’re not the first to start such discussion regarding the Yak-9K and I’m afraid not the last.

You know what is the difference between “You can eaisly destroy…” and “This are the easiest targets…”?

Because when I’m playing Yak-9K, I can eaisly destroy Tiger IIs and Jagdtigers meaning they have no way of defending against me.

The easiest targets are of course light tanks.

You know the difference between “hard to…” and “hardest to…”?

“6.7 germany is hard too kill with it”

I have replied to that:

Because You can, they can’t fight against You meaning You can eaisly destroy them.

Can we all agree that:

JTs and KTs are the hardest targets, because we often need couple shots or we need to aim precisely due to armor they have, BUT still they are easy to engage because they can’t defend against yak?

Like, you still can go about it, but that is basically the point.

That was the point from the beginning, if You know what You are doing You can eaisly destroy them
