Yak 1-9 potential nerf

so yak models pretty much dominate anything thats not high alt dogfighting one of there key flaws is not modled though

qnematics for everything was what soviets use flaps gear even the guns where charged with compressed air systems this made them light hence why they turn well but theres a fatal draw back if any line is bursted in the system it looses pressure and cant operate which means if you loose pressure you can fly the plane but you loose

GUNS as there charged via air
flaps and landing gear also controlled via air
also brakes are qnematic to
so good luck flying all other countries use hydralic systems as if damaged they still function although if it looses all hydralic fluid it fails but its at a far slower rate than qnematics giving you time

tomorrows reliability for todays flight some pilots would say

What

YaK 1-9 systems are much more vulnerable to damage and lose their ability very quickly once hit since they are pneumatic and not hydraulic

Which one?

They… They aren’t.

they are you can google it they use qnematic systems instead of hydralic mig 3s and LAGGs do to

Yeah, I’m sorry but if your only substantiation is “just google it bro”, your opinion is immediately irrelevant.

source saying im wrong then ?

Do you understand what “burden of proof” is?

What am I expected to refute if you have no argument to begin with?

You should probably get your life together before posting next time.

Make sure the brake system is hermetic. When fully tightened the brake pedals in
neutral, and when is pressed only one pedal, there should be no air leaks (do not hear
characteristic sound).

almost like im right and your wrong go back to reserve

Looks good, make a suggestion.

so can we sqaush the beef now ?

I’ve been playing the franchise for a decade longer than you, cool yourself brother.

FW-190s actually use electrical systems, so they only lose power to the systems directly connected to the severed wire.

it depends on the damage, if the hydraulic pump is hit it will lose pressure instantly, if a hydraulic line is cut completly will dump out the oil reservoir in a matter of seconds, a small cut will leak out far slower, but even a pin hole leak will dump oil at a shocking rate due to the extreme pressure that its under. Hydraulic oil is also flammable so planes using hydraulics are more prone to fire than those using compressed air or electrics.
There are pros and cons to both systems.

theres also mechanical systems like F4F with handcrake

And planes with both, the Spitfire has an air compressor and hydraulic pump, I’m not sure what runs of each system though. I think it’s guns are fired with the compressed air, as accounts from Spitfire pilots that I have read describe “getting the sound of compressed air” when they run out of ammo, but that may be the de-icing systems on the guns.

rip yak-2 and yak-4, punished for a crime they did not commit

idk they may be different as they wherent fighters so they didnt need to light

There’s no particular reason why any given power source can’t recock guns - be it pneumatic, hydraulic, manual, electrical or flapping your gums in the breeze… it is “just” a matter of designing and fitting the mechanism to do so.

I have no idea which ones did or didn’t have such mechanisms - just pointing out that having pneumatics does mean they can’t have one.
