at which case the remote turret argument goes out the window.
its the same thing, or better yet, its even worse.
at which case the remote turret argument goes out the window.
its the same thing, or better yet, its even worse.
any argument goes out of the window when we go with the “shoot this tank. boom, it died”
which was your logic, and thank you for confirming that your logic is pointless
youre talking nonsense here. wanna give proof for the statistical claims. where did you get source for the 90% of time claim?
did you make it up?
no your logic was “it has a remote turret so its better” to now “both tanks get shot they die”
yea youre right, looking at the kd ratios its only about 50% better
the remote turret is definetly better than the turret ofxm800t it is a way smaller target, it is easier to hide and harder to kill the tank through at range
and now your argument was “shoot aphe at it and it dies”, sure and shoot aphe at xm800t and it dies
the difference here is players will have way more difficult time shooting the small turret of marder at range especially if its bushed up compared to xm800t
also the depression difference is huge allowing marder to shoot from weird positions that the xm800t cant shoot from
skill issue of players isn’t my problem
for example on thunderskill the british jas39c is 1.71kd
and the swedish jas39c is 2.11kd which is roughly a 25% difference over the SAME PLANE
that could be explained by 1 being the last in the line and the other not.
The ammo is in the turret.
you can see other examples regardless of whether theyre last in the line or not
same vehicle capabilities, hugely different kd ratios
its skill in the play
yet it is hard to hit at ranges, if you hide it with a bush its hard to kill and many ammo like apds apfsds dont do much unless if its a direct hit
while also providing a missile and a gun with very good depression gun
definetly positive rather than negative
the marder would be worse with the turret of a xm800t
bulgy, big, visible, easy to hit, crew tight in it, apds and apfsds are way more effective against it and the depression isnt as good
it is pointless to pretend that enemies have aimbot and xray when facing the marder
definetly a net positive
For ground, They do, On a regular basis.
M18 had its engine power nerfed when it was 5.0 and only got changed back after being moved to 6.0.
TOW-2B’s only got nerfed after the Americans got it when China had them for a year priror, The M3A3 got sent from 8.7 to 9.7 in just a few updates because of them while the Chinese TOW-2B carrier only went from 8.0 to 8.3.
M41A1 still having an unhistorical turret drive nerf, Should be nearly twice as fast.
.50 cals having their belt sizes corrected(reduced by half).
T25 losing its stabilizer, Nearly went to 6.7 at the same time.
M1 turret baskets.
M735 being nerfed in error, Gaijin confirming it as such, But not reverting it, Instead removing the premiums that used it instead of fixing it.
M4A3 had 50 less HP because of a bug report for the A1 models and it took a full year of sending several documents showing the nerf was incorrect to get it fixed.
There are loads more examples, If you think the American tree never got nerfed before then you haven’t been paying attention.
it would fit better higher up with other light stabilised vehicles
Wow, I am surprised Gaijin actually was willing to do all that for how many years America has been out? Sadly, Britain receives that many nerfs every update.
It always amuses me when a heavy tank is shreded to pieces by a 20mm cannon. Why do we need heavy tanks that currently have no armor, mobility or other gadgets?
Not all heavy tanks fail in War Thunder. KV-1 is enjoyable, it sits at a BR spot where its armor fully matters. But I agree, some heavy tanks are indeed BRed in a way that even fast moving autocannon vehicles trash those. In this case the whole thing becomes a bit pointless.
However, XM with its 65mm pen is not able to do that. Thats up to other vehicles, mostly SPAAs with super pen ammo (Leopard 40/60, the French one, the Czech one etc etc).
XM800 is not op. It can kill light tanks, SPAA, and some mediums like the Leo 1 from the side, but against russian mediums or british tanks, its next to useless. sure, it can damage them by taking out their tracks and barrel but it cant kill them. overall, 7.7 or 8.0 works perfectly for it, because above that it cant kill anything, and below around 7.3 or 7.0 it cant kill anything.
The XM800T is alright, it’s not that deep.
blatantly wrong. they kill centurions a lot
Dont forget that M2 .50s are also the only ground MG in game that overheats for some reason.
Every other MG can fire their entire belt without stoppage, meanwhile the M2s cannot make it through 2/3rds of a belt before seizing up.
The TOW-2B nerf is still hilarious to me given that EFPs, by design, penetrate at a minimum their diameter , the TOW-2B’s EFP charges are 127mm, they penetrate 100mm somehow and the second charge is absent from the missile to this day.
that is one of the only british tanks they can kill excluding light tanks and SPAAs
it can kill every single british tank of the BR side on quickly.
I’ve never been able to kill an Conqueror or a Cearnarvon
XM800T: is 8.0
British tanks they can destroy:
Centurions, Olifant, Rooikat, ZA-35, Marksman, Warrior, ZT3A2, Swingfire, Falcon, Fox, Eland 90, and Scimitar.
That’s literally 7.0-8.7 that they can destroy. That’s basically Britain’s entire lineup.
