Xm246

Youre doing it for the Xm246 literally fym

Fuck ass forum wouldnt let me reply for DAYS even tho i play the game

You need to understand the difference between XM246 and E-100.

What is it,last time i checked there were people complaining cause its a “better maus” and yet…imo it isnt but statistics shows its overperforming for how the tank is,move it up…thats your own logic btw

Beside that,as i said countless times, there are better spaas than the Xm246 and if you move the Xm246 up,more the gepard too
Gaijin its removing apds from some spaa as i heard but of course as usual, they are putting effort and work into something that is not the problem

it has more centered guns which means u can use both guns against a near target, something u can with Gepard since it’s gun are side-by-side so u usually can only use 1 cannon to hit a target.
plus the XM246 has better survivability (even with just 3 crew members) and just like all 30/35mm cannons, it can pen basically all tanks (for russian tanks just aim for the lower side armor which has disgustingly bad armor, around 20mm, for american tanks just aim for the RF ports if u have good aim or try to get the cupola, and for german tanks… well just hit them before they hit u, Leopard I/A1A1 has paper armor can be one tapped if u get their side).

yeah Gepard’s APDS just makes the work easier, but in general the AP belt already can one tap targets at long distances if u have good aim (and don’t make me talk about ZA-35 with 2 35mm cannons in a Rooikat hull, or the Itpsv Leopard with a Leopard 2 hull at 8.7).

Barely makes a difference.

but a difference after all

I think it was fair the XM246 was moved up, but it is certainly ridiculous that other vehicles weren’t moved up as well. The Gepard and Type 87 BOTH trade the armor for speed (another very important factor with the 35mm Oerlikon GDF cannon) as well as an APDS belt that can be helpful (although, I know the APDS isn’t the main problem with these vehicles). So they should also both be moved up in my opinion.

ZA-35 and Itpsv Leopard looking from a corner:

You still don’t understand it, do you ?

So devs changed xm246 to 8.7 without DM23 (all others with Oerlikon has DM23), but keep gaypride and Chieftain at 8.3 with DM23 and penetration 127mm. Am I stupid or someone else?

To be fair, the issue was never the DM23. It was the DM12 APHE belt because it causes some janky overpressure.

I’m looking now and see no differnce, they have absolutely the same specs, ammo’s and etc, only gaypride have DM23, but not laser range finder, this one is difference. I haven’t gaypride, but looking on opponent team at 8.3 and see the same problem with that

There isn’t a difference in the belt. The difference is the vehicle. Although the XM246 wasn’t as fast it was drastically better armored and often tanked shots that no other SPAAG would tank.

I’m not saying the other ones shouldn’t go up, but

x246 has its barrels closer together causing even more wonky overpressures due to more shells hitting on smaller area.

But I agree, if x246 went up, all other Oeriklon platoforms should go too.

But I’m telling you that others haven’t got topped. Except the Swedish Leopard, but the German Leopard has an armored body Leo 1 similar to the XM246 from the M60 somewhere between 140 and 200 mm. If you shoot normally in the middle of the turret, you will probably destroy both.

The gepard?

Have you never encountered the marksman or its variants at 8.3? If anything they should’ve just brought the french AA down if they arent gonna bump every other AA up.

I hardly understand how it is supposed to be the American aquivalent of the German Gepard. The XM246 got both of its canons in the middle, which makes them easier to aim. PLUS that thing tanks way too much. In 6/10 cases, it can absorb my APFSDS round and is still able to fire. That should not be. The only thing thats better with the Gepard, is the 127mm belt. Apart from that, they are not on the same level.

Survivability comes down to the layout of modules and space. The guns are close together because that’s simply how it got built. The turret is also gigantic compared to the Gepard, meaning there’s a lot more space for spall to miss things. The turret front also has multiple thin armor plates that can catch spall.
