Xi'an JH-7, History, Performance & Discussion

Not sure if you mean in the game or IRL

But in the game the winged ones are maneuverable enough. The issue is that they don’t have proper logic for attack solution calculation.

So if you drop them level, the bombs instead of pitching up and doing e.g. an Immelmann turn to come back towards the target, they choose to pitch down and go through the ground.

But if you manually drop with with a pitch up attitude to force them to choose to turn upwards (i.e. do an Immelmann turn) they will successfully do so and hit the target.

So if Gaijin is going to give Su-34 6x KH-38s…
Gaijin, when can you give JH-7A 4x KH-29s?

Hello sir, this picture is from a magazine and does not have the official background of AVIC. It is only a summary of the mounting photos that have appeared in the public eye by the author. Moreover, it lacks some information, such as at least JH7notJH7A carrying GB500 guided bombs. Considering the age, it may also be KAB500L from Russia

Pay attention to the green radar cover and wing blades of JH7 in this photo, which are features of early JH7 models rather than the more modern JH7A that appears in games

Hello sir, I’m sorry to inform you that according to my inquiry with someone who knows a lot about it, the result should be that the KH29L has not been introduced before. In fact, PLAAF has not even introduced the KH29T, but the KH29TE. It was not until JH7A joined the game that the K29TE entered with the Su3925T. Can we consider replacing JH7A’s KH29T with KH29TE now

This photo is of PLAAF’s Su-30MKK missile system. The KH29 missile system was introduced with this project, and the Chinese characters on the missile body are “KH29TE电视制导**“mean”KH29TE TV Guided **”, and the last few characters are too blurry for me to recognize

Make a bug report. Just include some pictures and what the text on the missiles say.

As I said in my post, JH-7A has more functions and ammo load then it has now, just because in 2023 most of them are not introduced. Now we have an opportunity to recall them.

Idk if this was posted here already, but while I was making my JH-7A2 suggestion, I’ve found a image of the JH-7A displaying PL-12’s on the ground. Could also just be a LD-10 ARM.

LD-10 and Pl-12 share the same mounting mechanism and missile body. The radarset on the JH-7A is able to guide Pl-12’s and has datalink channels. Just because the PLA doesn’t showcase it with it doesn’t mean it cannot be mounted; it would be reasonable to give it Pl-12’s based off this information. I would still include it in the suggestion as a caveat.

Smth like matra durandal?

I learned from my Air Force friend who retired due to injury that the only difference between JH7A and JH7A2 is their fire control system. JH7A2 has upgraded to a new fire control system, but its equipment has not changed. The new fire control system is designed to be compatible with PL12 and new air to ground missiles

I cannot provide evidence as it is confidential content

We will see, considering the JH-7E is shown.

But you don’t have any evidence, do you?

As far as I know, this is a bomb used to deal with airport runways, and there are similar items in NATO and Russia’s arsenal, but they are not very useful in the game

Is the lack of any markings on the ordnance not sufficient enough to dismiss it? If you assert it is PL-12 the burden of proof is on you.
