In this time of 2023, we met JH-7A—a powerful CAS jet with large LGB and thermal TGP. And soon Kh-29T was added to its load. However, with the version update, many functions and missiles that were not promoted when the JH-7A was introduced have been added to the game. Such as GTM radar mode, PL-5EII A2A missile, Kh-29TE A2S missile(Chinese only bought 29TE with SU-30MKK). As a very young jet(2005) in war thunder, it should have those updates and raise its BR to battle with brand new CAS jets.
I tried to post a suggestion to discuss the YJ83KH/CM502B missile before, but it was prompted for review. However, I can’t find it now no matter what. China does not lack advanced ground guided ammunition like this, especially for a 2005 aircraft. At this time, IRCCM air missiles such as PL5EII or self use versions with the same technical level will definitely be equipped on this new bomber
The issue regarding CM704 and PL5EII has been approved, but when can we see them in the game
advice:PL5E-II air to air missile can be added to the game // Gaijin.net // Issues
The J10A and JF17, which first flew 2000 years ago, are now equipped with the PL5EII in the game. However, the PL5EII issue also mentions the JH7A and J8F, which are still in service as models that first flew after 2000. As top-level jet, they should be equipped with IRCCM missiles
JH-7A currently lacks C-704KD air to surface missile // Gaijin.net // Issues
There is also the CM704, but as a foreign trade missile with low production and sales volume, it has not been used by many aircraft. If we consider providing a widely equipped ground missile like the AGM65 and KH29 for future aircraft, YJ83KH/CM502B is undoubtedly a better choice. Although it is an anti-ship missile, it can also attack land targets with the same infrared imaging guidance head as KH38AGM65G in the introduction at the Zhuhai Air Show
The JH-7A is the Chinese equivalent to the SU-34M, it should’ve received ARH missiles for self defence such as the PL-12s and later PL-5 variants such as the PL-5E II mentioned in the post. The fact Gaijin has the gull to give the SU-34 a plethora of air to air missiles yet they restrict the JH-7As puzzles me.
I used to wish the JH-7A would get its current loadouts but seeing the Su-34 and F-15E get added gives me hope for a potential JH-7A2.
They could implement the JH-7A2 into the game and then it can get the PL-12s and other A2A missiles and newer TV guides munitions without making the JH-7A’s BR higher than it already is. They could even potentially decrease the BR of the JH-7A or even add the JH-7 within the game files.
I know this is not the right topic but having your support would be nice.
I made a bug report to have a modernization of the F-100F into F-100F wild weasel.

In the past, the JH7A might have been a good CAS, but now it’s definitely not. It was very easy to implement these measures, and I hope that Gaijin will make a reasonable balancing act and not favor one country over another.
They keep ignoring the JH-7A report, especially since it is missing its special feature, JH-7A missing feature:
“Missing CCRP indicators of any kind, good luck using this in sim battles, it’s unusable.” from 2023.
“Missing radar lock indicator” from 2023.
It has already been reported to the Gaijin.net report community bug:
Community Bug Reporting System
The oddest part is that they label it " info requested / Not a bug"
I want to bring this topic back from the grave because it has been years of requesting this to be fixed.
they just focus on RB but ignore the SB player needed.
Our best hope is probably the addition of a later JH-7 variant and if not we’re cooked.
This is my active report on the HUD: Community Bug Reporting System
The devs don’t care about it unless it is one of the dev team members favorite or liked vehicles. Either that or the dev team lead is constricting what the other devs can do.
I can’t fathom why the devs don’t seek out information from the community BEFORE adding something in a botched state… Literally would make their jobs easier and players happier…
Only when Gaijin will realize the market potential of the Chinese audience will stuff actually change. They tried with Dance of Dragons so we’ll see moving forward whether they care.
