WT Tanks feel worse then a train climbing a 5% hill

I miss the old WT, where you could snipe, climb a small hill, had 3-dimensional fights, the 3rd is reserved for helicopters and planes, and if it is a tank DON’T YOU GUYS WORRY they will patch that sniping spot out next update, along with the entire hill that’s was there, so many fun maps have been decimated to a point its drive down one of the 3 lanes, 3rd person view negates waiting for them to push. Oh, you think you found a spot to snipe from, no no no you have no TRACTION for the 4% hill and that small rock on the way up that sir is unclimbable.

Gaijin having to change maps is just a symptom of a larger map design issue. Ideally there would be no OP spots, and there wouldn’t be any way to cheese your way into one, but that just doesn’t happen. So Gaijin has to take much more drastic measures to have a more balanced map, which includes nerfing traction and adding red zones.

They suck at creating maps initially, which leads to changes being done, but the changes aren’t done well because they suck at making maps.

I feel like there should be a bit more traction. But the old traction was way too high. I remember my is3 being like a mountain goat which makes no sense.

I’m definitely not saying it was perfect or anything but I’d rather be slapped by a Mountain Goat IS3 than watch my dude try to climb a small ridge and slide 40m down when he puts a single pound of weight on his tracks on the downslope, the amount of players I’ve killed because they just stat sliding down a small hill cause of traction or I have died trying to get up a small hill just to get 90% of the way then suddenly I’m on the ice ring haha just give us back 40% traction would be nice

Yeah this is a core issue. Using real height maps or aerial scans doesn’t translate into creating good maps either.

Gaijin put very little to 0 effort of thinking about and curating combat zones and sight lines. It leaves the maps feeling like jumbled messes whereby you can get shot from random directions.

The made 0 effort with “fixes” that remove hills etc red zones its a stupid way to balanc maps.
Made a suggestion to bring back old maps (most problematic spots you could counter on them) - was ignored not even posted.
Map design or rather map butchering is a ongoing issue since ground came to be now its in turbo mode with half baked not thing through random map changes like removing hill for 1 side only or making possible to spawn camp from the back of map now etc.
They should stop trying to make maps 1 line 1 cap W lover 5s and kill dream. And go back to basics and most obviously TEST them not just slap change and done. But as recent updates clearly show quality guys probably switch to marketing because quality is long gone in this game and all we have is premium/copy paste premium/fomo events spam.
