WT Ground RB is disgusting

On paper ( and in practice) making lineup are great and should be encouraged, the problem is it just really isn’t that economically viable unless you do really well (maybe it changed with the economic update but the problem is still there), most of the matches I played at mid to top tier are full of prems player with no lineup or ppl who just quit after they dies one so the match is basically over at that point where it is just 4 or 5 dudes VS the entirety of the enemy team. It is a mindset at this point and I find myself in it sometimes too due to how insufferable the grind is. It also doesn’t help when your tank is stock and there are some heli that killed half of your team.

That’s the least of the issues. I rarely see that happen. It’s most certainly an issue but it isn’t a super significant one.

The only “bad” BR is top tier because the players are all incredibly sweaty so I can’t bully them like I would even at 10.7 lol, if I’m careful I can get 2-3 kills without dying at top tier. The thing is I’m usually not patient enough for that lol

well todays patch didn’t fix anything but hey we got a symbol, 18 cas in the air in one match that shit is crazy.

Not really true. The reward scheme favors “survival” ie; “play time”, and capping points is how games are won with the corresponding greater reward for winning. This are usually much greater than the kill total pts. at least in RP and SL, if not mission score, unless you are smiting entire teams single handedly.
But since the WT playerbase is mostly windowlickers, the tend to the later instead of the former, no matter what incentive Gaijin makes.

they must put a long linea of spawn and one problem less… you can spawn when you want of your side

@AlvisWisla you’re right, and I won’t expect or want Gaijin to do badly, and not have a positive financial outcome for the game. Still like I said, it is not guilt free IMO.

Red desert is from 2021 yes, and very big for 6.0 tanks, but for 10.0 the spawnkilling doesn’t happen in 2 minutes, it happens in 3 or 4…
You have the example of Northern Holland, it is exactly the same as Eastern Europe. And in the right side of the map, you can see people get out of spawn in like less than 15 seconds… so yeah map design for me, is still great for 6.0 tanks, not for 10.0 and above.

About dynamic spawns we don’t agree.

@Exocetta I agree with you on the playerbase but the thing is, that isn’t going to change. I posted this for Gaijin to be aware of this situation, and maybe do something about it. Something that doesn’t hurt them costumer and consumer wise, but something that also manages to not hurt the game. For me the game is seriously wounded right now.

@Oso_Torres I kind of like that idea, it is one possible “solution”.

The only thing I wanted to point out with this is, the speedrunners type of gameplay is ruining the ground battles.

First it started like end of 2021, middle of 2022. Everytime there was sales, and I also bought 10 packs in WT 10 year anniversary, so although I had entire lineups at that BR I’m not saying we shouldn’t buy them, in the premium packs br, usually 10.0/10.3, you would have like 1 to 2 months where half of the team would die once and J out. Then those BRs would go back to normal, until about 2 or 3 months later on next sale discounts, where ODL would just come back.

In the 2023, that issue started to last more time. So people would be like, that BR is crap because of ODL.
That’s why almost all people say, low tier = fun tier. Of course low tier… is limited, and if you want more vehicles, you have to climb the tier ladder.

We’re 4 months into 2024 and… speedrun “is the way” and only way, there is no gameplay anymore, go straight, go forward, push the enemy spawn, die, and leave battle. It came just to this, nothing more, and once in a while, you get an amazing competitive battle until the last second…

And the thing is… I’ve been seing this in 8.0… 9.0. 10.0/10.3. all the way up to max BR.

If this continues, we’ll be seing this at 1.0 and 1.3 soon and that, for me, it is a disgusting way to play basicaly my favorite game of the last decade.

And the scary part is how quickly this has changed, and we know how latest fashions get a grip on, this day nothing happens, the next day everybody’s doing it.

It’s hard to try and push for teamwork when you need to be doing something loggable to gain RP and SL. Oh, you want to do team play in your light tank by sacrificing yourself so your 3 tanks behind you can trade you and push forward? What’s in it for you? Nothing. So you don’t do it, and you’re all stuck and die to a flank.

Ohhh idk, fun, getting assists, kills, air kills with SPAA, capping just de-capping zones to avoid danger and stop the ticket bleed? Maybe giving out alerts? Scouting with light tanks and kill those you can and leave those you can’t scouted for your team? Help repair? There is more to do than just spawn camping.

When you hear the term teamwork for WT, what do you think it is? Or how its done? Do you think it’s just sacrificing your tank to save another player?

Good for you. Unfortunately, many people are sick and tired of playing the same tank and would want to progress. Due to Gaijin’s horrendous grinding system, people are forced to be scummy after a certain number of games due to frustration.

Sure, yet air kills are valued less in this game for whatever reason. Once again, less effective grind. Not to mention sitting in SPAA means you are idling for most of your time with no realistic way of getting progression other than killing air units that sometimes don’t even spawn within your SPAA lifetime.

Once again, nothing in it for you. If you get fun, sure, but I told you most people aren’t in it for fun anymore due to frustration from grind.

This is not an issue. Lots of people still do give ping on maps.

Sure, but if you get the chance to spawn camp, it’s the most productive ways to grind, and everyone’s starving for RP. Blame Gaijin for this.

I gave out one prime example of why teamwork wouldn’t work with self sacrifice. I also explained why most people are never incentivized to do most of what you listed before. This is all Gaijin’s fault. But due to the game design, teamwork is never in everyone’s mind. And that’s not their fault.

Can we talk about the special tasks?

For two days now, I’ve only been getting suggestions for tasks where you have to shoot down exorbitantly high numbers of vehicles. No more tasks that you can complete in a ‘normal’ session. I sort out any tasks that involve ‘winning’ because my experience shows me that the victory rate is pretty much in the basement with these tasks.
And by a normal session I mean a whopping two hours.

well, do exist “bonus badge” ,right? (translated from italian, so corrxct me please) " team player" for example, right? with “malus badges” for tactical errors perhaps a kind of “players” will be more respectful of purpose of a war game

Tonight, in the last game, some ***** “gamers” run from a cap to another cap, losing cap just conquered, complaining my “camping” while i was covering 2/3 of map , without help p.s. “camping” is on spawn, not standing trying to understand what is happening
