Skill issue at best.
I have never had a situation when I needed a plane help.

shall i put a remark on how different from 98% of players of this game you’re?
Just because people are bad in game doesn’t mean others should get punished for it.
huh? anyway,… the game having CAS is a specifity that is not in others games,… so if you don’t want CAS, you have chosen the wrong game :)
So we should not add anything new (like gamemode) to the game because someone will lose free frags, right.
I love the lack of proper arguments as the only thing You can reply is ‘muh play something else’.
huh,… k,… so what your arguments?
you have acces to SPAAG/SPAAM / your own aircrafts, even Helos have AA weapons on them.
if you want an only dedicated tank game - war thunder is not, so deal with it or go elsewhere,…
or play in custom battles with only tanks?
i don’t know man,… but Gaijin was Crystal Clear → no TO Modes would be made!
raging on this point which will never change isn’t gonna help you, as you hurt your little heart even more by keeping at your eyes that maybe in 2113 they will release such mode.
I’m the one using the air so I just know how things are.
New mode would benefit everyone in game, but some are just too scared of real competition.
People love to take easy way out.
Instead of learning how to counter flankers/campers from the ground, they are given a crutch to relief their frustration.
If you, as a flanker, manage to get behind their lines unnoticed and get your eyes on their paths from spawn to caps, you deserve to get a substantial reward. I don’t know about others, but getting bombed by a headless chicken that you just killed isn’t really a substantial reward to me.
Give us the TO and evaluate after a couple of weeks how the players distribute between the two modes! I´m pretty sure many, many players will chose the combined weapons fights. All CAS-is-so-important players will be there a 100% only to begin with. For me - hating the beekeeping skies dearly - I could even imagine to play both, but not just every WW2 match with a sky full of planes.
My take on CAS, is that for exemple some vehicles are fine as they are. For exemple, the combination of 2S6 and Roland vs things like AH64, French Tiger, Mi24 seemed pretty balanced, but the introduction of the ka50 broke it. As for top tier jets, with the issue of the pantsir and the Tor dominating the sky, either CAS is useless (I am talking about mentioned above helis, or any plane without guided ordinance), or to strong (ka50, Mirage 2000, f14b…), especially against SAM of other nations.
At top tier, a good pilot will almost always be better than a good tanker/SAM. I, for exemple, usually win most of my duels against pantsirs in a mirage, as long as there’s not a suppression by the amount of SAM shooting at me (above 3 SAMs it gets tricky)
Lmao
Grand declarations like this are always humorous, but this is one of the most outlandish.
Thousands and thousands of players in CA say things aren’t as you claim. WT is a combined arms game and that is because CA is a central tenet of its premise.
In truth, support for TO actually appears to have peaked years ago and waned since. TO supporters really fumbled the ball by hemming and hawing over the idea for years instead of getting things done. At this point, TO’s odds are far poorer.
Your quote applies to you at least as much as others:
TO advocates have often pitched TO explicitly as a way to evade competition from tankers who fly.
Attempting to evade competitors instead of facing them probably counts as trying to “take the easy way out,” but I doubt that’ll be acknowledged.
Again, your comments apply to you too:
A tanker who flies is also a flanker and if that player gets by the enemy team unnoticed, their accomplishments are earned (not ‘deserved’) through their positioning and/or defeat of enemies along the way.
On the final bit…getting defeated is a natural part of competition. It will happen at least some of the time in a competitive arena and even TO would be no different.
I play all sorts of air and ground vehicles…being well-rounded and experienced is my playstyle.
I’m sure at some point I’ve probably played some vehicles that some call OP, though that billing is usually subjective in itself. (Someone probably calls the Archer OP, lol!)
None of that is really a retort to what I said though…my comments were general and so my results aren’t germane here.
3 easy, fast and simple fix for CAS in GF RB.
1- Increase plane points cost (no more bombed early in the battle by guys wtih only one cap or two assists).
2- Remove air start for ALL planes (if nuke plane can start in the ground all the other planes should too).
3- Remove third person camera from planes and only add first person view like Enlisted.
Personally the 1 and 2 are the best and more simple solution for the actual CAS problem.
You should see my French Corsair and Do 335 B2 stats. I have to be one of the best “pilots” in WT!!
In no way have I used the Do in ARB farming AI ground and air targets (and bombers and people who think headons work well with those 30mms) to help research a huge chunk of the German mid/late tree. And after 60 so battles in the Corsair I am obviously able to kill all air and ground of the enemy before anyone else gets to them!
That reminds me of a fun memory with the M42:
Years ago, for reasons known only to Gaijin, the Duster was 6.7.
Instead of waiting for aircraft to show up, I got bored and decided to sneak around to torment enemy GFs.
While wiping out Jpz. 4-5s with the 40mm was pretty easy and predictable, the real fun was sneaking around to wipe out heavier foes.
My most memorable single result with the M42 was when I found 3 obvious Germans on Hurtgen Forest–two Tiger IIs and a Jpz. 4-5, dropped in behind them and killed all three (the Tiger IIs each took 40mm shots through the back of the turret ring until they died).
Other than that…yeah, I play a lot of vehicles and have many task lineups. That’s not really relevant here though.
But you are wrong and pushing on being toxic.
Are you trying to be antagonistic?
It is as if your simple kind are increasing! I have never used the Do in Ground, I play most modes…
language
And?.. stat shaming, even if they are wrong, is just as egregious. So I think you might add a call of caution to the culprit (twice in only a few comments).
He has nothing so jumps on his ability to not understand statistics (I can point to you my vehicles I actually used as CAS when I played Ground, over the last 6+ years. Stats do not show when).
So my comment stands. The Do is poor for Ground as they are very easy meat for enemy air, I played it in ARB. The Corsair was meant for Ground but after spading it I hadn’t played France ground for years.
Point being stats being used to shame and also turn out to be interpreted very poorly is a usual reply from a few toxic members…
idc about the rest of the conversation, swearing is banned on the forum and you can get suspended for it. just letting you know
You should see a few of the things people have thrown around here and elsewhere! But I have softened the comment, since I am not using the word in its literal sense.
Stat shaming is against the forum rules. It just incites… this.
