You berated “air players”. Air can be used to kill air (more SL too which is wrong, should be better for ground). So yes, people avoiding air (and SPAA) are a detriment to their team, doesn’t have to be you bit you were the one name calling (general). A Tanker never uses air, as per TO advocacy rules.
And exactly, disliking current GFRB is a terrible bullet point to request a TO. TO is good for its own merits, not because players dislike air.

With recent additions like Strike drones and dedicated CAS aircraft like the Su-39 coming into the game. This is all but confirmed to be the case by the devs by these actions.
There are adjustments that could be made. but I agree completely though that CAS shouldnt go anywhere
There’s some pros and cons that need to be considered, with the cons often being ignored.
Pros - No need to worry about aircraft, revenge bombing eliminated, tanks move freely in exposed areas.
Cons - Most SPAA lose all purpose, Strike Aircraft and equivalents lose relevancy, hard to kill/strong tanks will become harder to eliminate.
Pros: Players can choose what gameplay style they desire.
Cons: A further split of players will occur, increased wait times, smaller lobbies.
Aircraft have been constantly hammered by SP increases. I feel like what makes aircraft much more powerful are mouse aim and great visibility below them. It is quite apparent how vulnerable aircraft are in Sim in comparison to AB/RB, so if a new mechanic is not implemented that overhauls the current system, an easier to implement change would be something like forced cockpit view. If we continue raising SP it will get to the point that players will fly significantly less and SPAAs won’t have much use outside of the occasional plane. It is quite a give and take with no easy solution.
Im of the opinion that there is nothing wrong with planes, other than needing some SP adjustments for CAP aircraft (Pure A2A with no A2G)
The only major change needed with CAS, is to put helis on par with jets withwise to SP cost. After that, they just need to get their asses in gear and add better SPAA for all nations, at the moment the only nations with viable top tier SPAA is Soviets and China. Everyone else is a little weak at the moment.

And do not forget planes kill planes, not just SPAA. And you seem to get rewarded for it a lot more than if a ground vehicle took out the enemy aircraft.
