Work-In-Progress: Regenerative Steering — Should We Add It? Try It & Leave Your Feedback!

Then they can play in ULQ mode where it would be acceptable and where grass is already gone. But the RTX 5090 player by your logic should not have this option.

Ok, so you want arcade, so we will make a toggleable pvp button.

Idk where you got this strange idea that because I want one thing to be toggleable, that i would support anything be toggleable

720P low, yet I can still see fine.

Yes this very much is gameplay, turning off grass makes a huge difference to your visibility and therefore gameplay

How wheeled vehicles being implemented with different types of steering, radiuses, etc. based on real stats is ok. But tanks are not.

How reversible transmission, hydropneumatic suspension, ability to swim, to circle in place can be forced as a feature of specific vehicles. But tank steering cannot, lol.

If you allow tank steering being a toggleable, can I toggle off bad reverse speed or toggle on swimming/pneumatic suspension?

Or toggle on tank steering on wheeled vehicles?

I’ve given you my arguments and you seem to just ignore them, if you don’t want it to be toggleable then that’s fine, but you are not consistent at all with your drive for realism

Its a drive of consistency, I asked two hows about 5 movement mechanics. Why 6th mechanic should be toggleable if other movement mechanics are not?

Why wheeled vehicles are implemented with real steering while tanks will have an ability to steer how they want? Why gearboxes are implemented according to specifica of every vehicle type, but steering will be toggleable no matter what is your tank?

Why tank steering is different and unique to other mechanics?

Because its been like this for 12 years and a lot of maps are better suited for it. Hope this helps!

Because from the start of war thunder wheeled vehicles have driven realistically, so there is no need to toggle it.

Its been like that is not an answer, if players are used to a specific bug or placeholder that cannot be an argument to leave that bug or placeholder.

Tank steering was a placeholder.

Except it was never a bug or placeholder. Stop making bad faith arguments.

Yes, that is in fact an answer, because this is a video game and gaijin and the players can do whatever they want with it.

They absolutely cannot, but anyway

It is done.

Challenger 2 TES (74 tons) with a 1217 hp engine overperforming base Challenger 2 (64 tons) with a 1314 hp engine despite being 10 tons heavier and missing 100 hp.

Mistakenly, the Regenerative Steered Challenger 2 TES was modelled with the pre-buff engine (1217 hp) instead of the fixed one (1314 hp).

So EVEN despite weighing 10 MORE TONS, and despite also MISSING 100 HP, TES still overperformed Live CR2. THAT’S REGENERATIVE STEERING FOR YOU.

DO. NOT. FUMBLE. THIS.

Please, @Stona_WT , @Smin1080p_WT , don’t allow misled users’ “feedback” to cancel this wonderful change. This will be one of the greatest things to happen to War Thunder EVER.

Yes they can, thats why gaijin has asked for feedback

The horrors of gamedev, asking the players…

Hello! Was the HP of the regen steered tank corrected here?

To know whether to specify or not on the Reddit post!

At the start of warthunder there were no vehicles with double differential btw even in theory. By your logic they should’ve implemented every feature possible before releasing the game, swimming, autoloaders, era, nera, thermals with levels, atgms with levels, shell types, everything, because a new addition could nerf and existing one. Because atgm addition nerfed heavy tanks.

When toggleable atgms in battles?

It’s like 3:30am for them currently so you’ll have to wait a bit for the answer haha
