nor low graphics

I can only play on lowest graphics setting and in worse resolution than my monitor’s, in a stretched window.
Pls don’t end our miserable life.
I didn’t even remember that the current one is so bad…

I cannot believe there are people who actually want to keep the current handling
In their defense Gaijin showed them absolutely horrendous example that being Leopard with apparently nerfed parameters.
True, you aren’t wrong
Please note that the steering mechanics currently on the live servers also suffer from poorly tuned transmissions.
Let’s hold a poll to remove the current transmission mechanics from the game entirely.

Well you seem to be arguing to keep what you are admitting are poorly tuned transmissions on the live server
Voting no to regen steering means we are stuck with the awful steering mechanics we currently have ingame forever
No, you’ve got it a bit wrong. Steering mechanics and transmission mechanics are completely different things. Since we all agree that the current in-game transmission logic is absolutely terrible, I propose we fight the common enemy and push Gaijin to remove it entirely. Let tanks just accelerate smoothly from 0 km/h to top speed without any gears. I’m sure this would fix most of our mobility issues.
As I said before day and night difference
I didn’t even remember the Scimitar being this bad. It’s pretty much unplayable lol Feels like a tractor from ww1, just absolutely no power
good thing to tell people, ynkow unless we have a console account… :(
This is going to end up being another APHE poll, I see it now. This needs to be added, Gaijin just need to refine it better before full implimentation.
you mean to tell the WT forum…
that a 70 ton tank…
CANT DO CQC WELL???!!!???
He literally went to play arcadey WoT, btw, said that he thinks WoT has no transmission and thus he wants it being deleted in WT, lmao.
Learn how to play, do not nerf game mechanics into an arcade oblivion. Gaijin making every tank different in handling is a good thing, better to unlock different tanks than one tank with different models. Tanks should feel different.
This video should showcase the “steering bug” pretty well imo. Normal acceleration until 40 km/h where I let go of W and only hold A. Suddenly the tank gains 10-11 km/h much faster than it would in a straight line. Not to mention that it shouldn’t gain anything since I was only turning without using the throttle.
But I think Fireball_2020 already made a bug report and it was accepted!
I dont like it. First: it just restricts the ability to maneuver with the tanks so the many town battle maps would be unplayable. Second: it doesnt give you any advantage from being able to drive in a constant curve. Third: I will be frustrating to learn because we are used to the old system so fewer people would play them. Fourth: it would automaticly buff all other tanks that doesnt have this system. So please dont add this to the game
- Wheeled vehicles existed for years and somehow they played on “town battle maps”.
- Its not one tank that will get it, but all tanks that had it, so, your enemy will be in balance with you.
- Devs can… update maps with tight streets, you know. If these maps will be less playable. They do hide maps for redesign from time to time.
On open maps or open parts of the maps it does give you an advantage. And, surprise, there are a small amount of pure “town maps” and most have either big open parts/flanks or are purely open fields. And the ones that are in the game have wide streets. A small amount of maps have tight streets and forces players to go there.
As a coder myself, I hate this exact argument people make against objectively good additions that either follow the spirit of a project or fix something. You know, people get used to bugs as well. So, no fixes? People get used to fake vehicle parameters, so, no reports with documents? Games are all about learning and re-learning, its like, the main thing that makes games interesting to humans.
It would buff tanks with differential on open maps and “buff” tanks without it on tight maps. How many town maps are there and how many of them are tight enough to be unplayable? Sounds like “swimming feature buffs these tanks and nerfs other tanks, literally unplayable, I can’t swim on abrams”, idk.

No, it doesn’t. See for yourself. Besides city maps are the minority.
Second: it doesnt give you any advantage from being able to drive in a constant curve.

Ah right, let’s keep a completely shit system just because it’s familiar.
Right now it’s only frustrating because tanks have wrong values (like the Leo 2 with it’s wrong neutralGearRatio value) and because of the bugs, like the one that keeps the throttle at 100% even when you are only holding down A or D. Otherwise it’s a lot more natural feeling and WAY less tedious. What’s frustrating is how every tank feels like they have 1/3 of their real horsepower since one of the tracks is always braking. Look at the Scimitar comparison video, the current handling is a bad joke.
Fourth: it would automaticly buff all other tanks that doesnt have this system.
Tanks with regenerative steering would be running circles around tanks that don’t have it. The only situation where it might perform worse is the ability to make a 180 turn instantly (which is highly unrealistic to begin with). Literally a SINGLE situation out of 100
