This is genuinely great to see. It’s always nice when a vehicle that could have easily been treated as “just another Sabre” instead receives the attention it deserves.
The CA-27 is a fascinating aircraft in its own right, and it’s especially reassuring to read that the model is being built from scratch using documentation and photographs rather than simply modifying an existing F-86 model.
Looking forward to seeing more work-in-progress updates as development continues!

I really like this new format. Good to get some hype going inbetween the wait for the next dev season.
Not announcing anything major but nice to see the gap fillers used to fill the gal between updates.
Hope you continue with posts like these for the future.

We’ll do “Work in Progress” blogs when we can inbetween major updates. Not every vehicle will get this type of blog and it’s not replacing full dev blogs either. The regular dev blog season will remain as usual.
Think of it as “Hey, we’re working on this right now, in preparation for the next major”. We’ll only do WIP blogs where possible, they may not be a regular occurrence, just when we have something to show that we’re working on. For example, we don’t have another one planned at the moment, but that may change, depends on what we’re ready to show.

but I want to have news about a rework of the penetration calculator. It is getting obsolete with more detailed componement and spall liner plus new types of shell such as anti-ERA APFSDS.

I see both sides of it.
The RAAF one is nice because it has different engines and guns, and has options for other loadout options, which makes it quite unique. Its a nice addition
But, the RAF did operate 2x Sabre variants too, and they have been denied because Gaijin doesnt want to C&P them over (Which I find rather ironic given how much they have been defending their use of C&P and how extensively they use it in a laod of other places)
So I think they need to add all 3. I would add one of the 2 RAF ones as a premium or SQV. But definetly would be good to see the Mk4 and Mk6 also added, especially with how… neglected. Britain Rank V has been of late.

Like I said, it’s a cool plane, and more so than a lot of the foreign kit that is being shovelled into the British tree lately, it actually somewhat belongs given that it is overhauled with a British engine and guns.
But that doesn’t change that it has been 10+ years without British Sabres in the British tree, and now the first and currently only Sabre we are receiving is a foreign vehicle.
