may be within a year or two, when the actual in service model drops we can see gaijin adding another 2A8 to Germany, with the complete kit, as my understanding they gave us the Demo variant, not the in service variant, so i want the in service variant too. its only fair.
Yeah i also noticed that
WIP has been an excuse for rushed and unfinished content making it to the live server way too often recently. Also most of the problems were copied from the 2A7 which has been in the game for several years.
Look at the 2A6 HEL in xray, that ones armor is modeled INCREDIBLY poorly with holes, gaps amd asymmetries that don’t match the actual model. EMBT had composite with a value of 0mm etc…

I would like to point out that in the recent dev server update, the Leopard 2A8’s gun depression was reduced from 9° to 7.4°. This arbitrary nerf is historically inaccurate and logically inconsistent. Meanwhile, the frontal armor of the Leopard 2A8 remains easily penetrable, and these armor issues have been completely ignored. Furthermore, my issue tracker access was inexplicably banned despite having never submitted a single issue. This is a blatant attempt to suppress community feedback.

Also, please do not attack Russian players. They are just scapegoats of Gaijin’s attempt to divide the community. We should not have infighting. We need to stand together and push back against Gaijin’s broken balancing logic and censorship.

Gaijin when it comes to nerfing said tank over a wrongfully assessed source: “WE MUST DO IT IMMEDIATELY!”
If you want something “buffed”, you need 182 primary sources signed by world leaders and manufacturers because it’s otherwise “not enough info”.
REMEMBER M735. A single wrong report it took to artificially nerf it… it’s been years since it was acknowledged, yet remains unfixed.

Our voices aren’t loud enough. Gaijin isn’t afraid. Today it’s Germany, tomorrow it’ll be the US, then France, Italy, China… They will come for everyone eventually. We need to stand together.

SEPv3 still has a comical hull for what it’s suppossed to be
DTC10 is still too short with underperforming penetration
ZTZ99A/others still missing their spall liners
Etc.
All in all, Gaijin always defaults/assumes the very worst whenever information isn’t absolutly, abundantly and undeniably clear, and sometimes, even when information is undeniable if they just don’t want to (Challenger 2 missing hull spall liners, etc).

No offense to you, but this is an absolute joke of a statement to make. We all know the armour will never be buffed. Back when the 2A7V was added with worse armor than the STRV122, the devs themselves stated they knew it was illogical but that they didnt care.
Keep in mind, they’re saying here that the Strv122, a tank from the 1990’s got newer armour than the 2A7V, a tank from the 2020’s…
This isn’t a “dev server, armour not final” issue. This is the devs don’t like the germans and they will continue to butcher the German Leopards until they end days, and thats the end of discussion. A tank that is 30y newer than the STRV122’s, using newer applique armour, and newer internal armour has inferior armour because the devs feel like it. They can’t even be bothered to bring the uparmoured german Leopard 2’s to match the Strv122’s, they have to be inferior, just cuz.

You are treating my statement as “it WILL change”, I never said it would. I said it is worth mentioning that things are subject to change. As in everything in the Dev Server is not final and has the potential to be changed before it reaches live.
Whether that happens or not is a different question.

No, im treating your statement as a lazy attempt at appeasement of a very disgruntled community which continues to get screwed by gaijin. There was no reason to say things were subject to change and this is the dev server, the devs were never going to change this. This isnt a dev server issue, this is a “the devs decided the German made Leopard 2A7V cannot have better armour than the Strv122, and that will extend to all future German Leopards that share its armour scheme” issue. The 2A8 doesn’t have a new armour that’s subject to change, its a 2A7V they slapped trophy and some roof armour on and called it a day.
“Worth mentioning that its the dev server, and things are subject to change.” when discussing an already established armour profile just translates to “stop complaining” in gaijin-speak, or really in general these days. “dev server, subject to change” is the immediate response given to just about anything that wont change, but that y’all are tired of hearing about.

‘Subject to change’… what a vague and empty phrase. No one can guarantee it will actually change. Therefore, we must seize this opportunity to tell Gaijin exactly what they did wrong. Otherwise, once the update goes live and the dust settles, it’s all over. This has happened repeatedly in past updates, right up to today! The approved armor buff issues for the Leopard 2 PSO and Leopard 2A7V on the issue tracker have had zero updates—and those issues are from three years ago!

Subject to Change sure i heard this for years but barely anything happened. We are still watiing on the Promised DM Rework for the Leopard 2s but already got the Spall Liner nerfed hard now the 2A8s Gun Depression is getting nerfed without confirming that it has that Limit. All i hear is the WE BELIEVE and Not a Bug or OUR EXPERT SAID. We had enough! We want every single Vehicle in War Thunder to have the Performance it should have with the Information that is Open to the Public!

I never said you shouldn’t, if anything the fact its under active development should mean you report more issues with it as thats the focus right now for the game.
I was a regular player longer than I’ve been a mod, I understand frustration and being disappointed.

We appreciate your understanding of our frustration, but the reality is that the feedback system is broken. You say we should submit more reports, but how can we? Most issues regarding buffing the Leopard 2A8 gain zero traction. The majority are rejected as ‘not a bug’ or ‘not enough info’. Those with sufficient evidence and complete feasibility receive the response: ‘Developers don’t plan to add it.’
Furthermore, the already accepted armor issues for the 2PSO and 2A7V have been sitting for three years with zero progress. It is extremely hard for players to stay motivated when this system feels like a one-way street.
Why is Gaijin unwilling to do it properly? Did Gaijin not want to see it in the first place? If Gaijin never intended to add the German Leopard 2A8 properly, then why add it at all?
Sorry for complaining so much. If you don’t want to read this, just ignore it. It probably won’t change anything anyway.

I actually quite enjoy Gaijin ignoring literally every singular bug report regarding the 2A8 but a single report indicating the gun depression is actually -7.4 degrees, Gaijin instantly approving.
What the hell does it take to get a simple RCWS, LWR and properly modeled MBT’s??
I hope Gaijin can step up FOR ONCE and just introduce these simple features…

I dont even think the feedback system is broken. Whats broken is the devs honesty and transparency. Everyone here knows why the 2A8 is modeled the way it is or why the SepV3 armor is lowballed or why Eurofighter performance reports get “marketing lied” while other trees get buffs and additions on the flimsiest of sources or no sources at all. I just wish that the devs were honest to us and themselves.
Give the things you dont want to be strong the brimstone treatment if you have to but please dont take the community for fools.
