Leaving aside the general Leopard 2 Damage Model rework that’s been waiting for years to be made, and leaving aside how 2A7s and 2A8s still don’t have their internal armor improvements modelled; it’s funny how the add-on glacis damage model does not even match the very game’s own visual model, which, on the other hand, accurately represents the module as seen in real life pictures.
I do agree it’s funny to say with the 2A8 clearly being rushed, it’s a copy and paste 2a7v with APS, there’s generally no difference between armour values between the 2a7v and 2a8 from what I saw myself. Again the 2a8 was a mbt built from scratch, and here even it says, “according to a Ministry of Defense statement, additional improvements in the A8 variant include better armor and an overall rework of situational-awareness and fire-control features for the crew”
I mean, both 2A7V AND 2A8 have got underperforming armor; not only the missing add-on geometry (122s have the same problem), but also, the fact that their internal armor is still C-tech even though it was improved from 2A7 onwards.
couldn’t of said it better, they need to address these issues, which in hindsight it won’t happen, well to the 2A7v, maybe enough german fans will convince them.

Did both germany and norway really chose to not buy the RCWS?
