su-5-3 it has a 152mm morta. 250m/s and only 4 rounds.
That’s a bummer, was actually interested in it.
Goodness, it says the T-72, T-80 etc have 122mm guns.
eh just 3mm short, no biggie
Validity counts on it. Whomever wrote this obviously wasn’t aware of the armament these vehicles used.
tbf i think its an easy slip, 122 is more common in the west while 125 is in the east
It may be, is there anything else about German T-80Us? Images, first hand experiences?
just that they were tested with regards to their armour and how DM series ammo fared against their new composite structures.
it was pretty secret since belarus is pro-russian and didnt want to risk that
I seriously doubt a T-80U went missing the very same year it entered service, these things were not very common and went to specific units.
Seems like wishful thinking, like BMW diesel emissions.
Reject modernity, embrace D-25T
Well thats how things work in dark ops, belarus was and is a key russian ally and given the right amount of… resources, its quite easy to acquire one single tank…or steal a helicopter…
And I can’t find anything saying Belarus received T-80Us
Excuse me if I take this with a large planet of salt.
saying Belarus received T-80Us
Oh they didnt receive them for service.
Belarus has long been used as a foreign depo or restoration/staging grounds for military equipment by russia.
Ofcourse you may have differing opinions about the reason for their stationing there.
EDIT:
Following the disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991 the Soviet Army’s most capable class of main battle tank the T-80 was inherited by the armed forces of three
They did have T-80s btw
Why would a tank be in a storage or require restoration the very same year it entered service?

T-80B/BVs, which were sold off
Why would a tank be in a storage or require restoration the very same year it entered service?
As i said.
Staging.
Restoration is just one of the things belarus is used for.
I’m not saying T-80s were needed to be restored that time. But they were there, no doubt.
Of course, steal… ahem borrowing is always the other way.
Believe what you want I guess
Ey i mean the GDR was still around by then so its not as unbelievable as some would want it to be
Also we know some were paraded around in the GDR by russian forces and…
Some of it isn’t lining up.
