An upgrade the 104 needs

History

During the peak of research and development on the modified airframe of the F-104 in Germany, the EADS project stood out as one of the most knowledgeable initiatives, contributing significantly to discoveries about the F-104 airframe.
Seeking to enhance the manoeuvrability of the F-104 starfighter, the Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) company undertook modifications on a German Air Force F-104G by adding substantial weight to the tail section, intentionally destabilizing it, and integrating Computer Controlled Flight systems.
This transformed the aircraft into the F-104G-CCV (computer controlled vehicle), with an additional set of horizontal stabilizers from another F-104 positioned behind the cockpit canopy.
Further computer systems were installed to enhance flight control and manoeuvring capabilities. Additionally, external fuel tanks similar to those on the F-16 were affixed to the fuselage.
The insights gained from this aircraft proved invaluable in the development of both the Tornado and the Eurofighter Typhoon.
One complete aircraft is currently housed in the German aviation museum. Two such airframes underwent modifications for testing and flight experimentation.

There is a german ww2 vessel with a helicopter on it. That would be cool to add even though it won’t be very usefull. But can’t remember if it was this helicopter

its more of a meme than anything else lol. it did carry 2 x 250 kg bombs so it might be a good replacement for the Bf-109 in GRB

It also had a manually aimed machine gun. Probably not very useful, but could be used to take out open-top vehicles. Plus theres also the option of scouting or capturing points. A very low tier helicopter is worth it.

The French built copies after the war and the British and US had captured examples, so if really nessescary for them to have an equivalent heli then they could get the exact same. Czechoslovakia also had some, so you could string that into a way for the Soviet tree to get them too.

if implemented i would want this as a tech tree vehicle. not as an event one so that everyone has the chance to use these.
as for other nations equivalents… there should be counterparts but if not yes, this can be given to all of them lol.
maybe a heli pvp event where you just have this? lol

I think it would be sacrilege for the German version to be locked away as an event vehicle. Personally I’d add the German and French versions (plus Czech if they ever get an independent tree) to the tech tree, with Brit and US versions as event vehicles. I just want a goofy prop-era heli for fun.

well ofc if the original is an event vehicle the others would be too. but yeah, making it a low tier prop era heli would introduce a new dimension to new players especially

Correct me if im wrong, but doesn’t DONAR refer to the turret rather than this singular vehicle?
The turret has been mounted on more hulls.

yep ur right, but as an aesthetic justice to the weapon, i think only the truck suits it. now it depends which truck we choose. the tracked or the wheeled
