because if 120C gets buffed but the F15CGE only has 8 it would be in the same spot it is now because it also fights against 120C
yeah I will never understand the fix missiles argument and ignoring other factors, like the Eurofighter will still be much stronger in everyway other than aesa in game and has the exact same missile as it.
note, we really shouldn’t have to beg for them to un-artifically nerf the Amraam with how the Mica and r77-1 act in close range.

I think it’s because of their different personal standards.
the AAM-4 is a AIM-7 body and warhead with the radar and fins from a 120 effectively

its what it is, the Japanese took the AIM-7 and revised it to the AAM-4, it takes the internal radar and the smaller fins of the 120, but keeps the size and warhead of the AAM-4, because if you notice in game, the AAM-4s is notably larger than the AIM-120 sharing an identical size with the AIM-7 while being ultimately better

The AAM-4 shares no internals with either the Aim-7 or Aim-120. It was developed as sequel to the sparrow, essentially meant as a straight upgrade that could be mounted in place of a sparrow on the F-15/F-4. As such it shares the same dimensions, and even much of the same mounting architecture. However the missile is of a fully unique design otherwise. As such the warhead, fins, and radar are all original designs.
The AAM-4 shares no developmental relation to the amraam.
