i actually did some more research and found no real influence from the aim-120 program. everything seems to be domestically designed but in my opinion there was differently some aim-120 influence.
well they were both designed from the aim-7 so while indirect it does share a developmental relation to the AMRAAM with that being said i was wrong to say “direct derivative”.
the AAM-4 makes little to no change to body of the missile as compared to the aim-7 the AMRAAM’s only change in that regard was a one inch reduction in diameter.
I mean, half the IRs in existence are designed to 127mm diameter standard cause of rail compatability with the aim-9. Doesn’t mean almost every IR shares developmental history with the sidewinder.
It’s realy usefull information, but can we get some information about more missile’s or BOL on F15 GE. Please?
yea but the difference is that the AAM-4 was verifiably developed directly from the AIM-7M and the same goes for the AMRAAM. body of the aim-7/aim-120/AAM-4 are all near identical in design the main difference being the DL antenna on the aim-120/AAM-4 witch are extremally similar from the outside and if your wondering what i am talking about it is the small ridge running down the length of the missiles.
imma be honest i don’t think BOL would make any difference.
The Golden Eagle could get tons of improvements to be 14.3 material while still being mostly an air-dedicated plane.
However, it looks like Gaijin has closed the shutter on the plane for now.
A fancy new DOA frame for the US, as if the F/A-18C Late wasn’t enough of a disappointment.
As long as so many players have no idea about the game they’re playing. You still see commonly players complaining about how op us top tier and amraams are on YouTube and reddit. Like Ive had a dude very surprised that I considered r77-1 to be the second best missile in the game.
I’m convinced a lot of players play a single nation and have no interest in knowing what other nations actually perform like
Exactly why I tend to narrow the scope of the TWS when I do have a lock
