Wire-guided can be jammed?

How is the ATGM that guided by wire can be jammed by the Electro-optical Active Protection System that can be found on T-90?

The ATGM launcher tracks the position of the ATGM with an IR sensor and an IR flare on missile. With its position, it uploads steering commands via the wire to keep the ATGM centred on the crosshair.

What IRCM does is flood the launcher sensor with so much IR noise that it can’t even see the missile’s IR flare anymore.

The launcher starts giving bad guidance commands that progressively wobble the missile off course.

edit - The wire is just the datalink between the missile and launcher. Its the same whether its a wire link or radio command link.

Resistance to IRCM jamming instead comes from the flare used, an encoded IR beacon gives out a specific signal that can be read by the launcher through the background IR noise.
