Or are we not gonna see them again for months/years?
Has bro never heard of an update?
They are planned to be added to the main game
Based upon what is said in the Q&A [1:20]. I would say quite likely we’ll see them in the June/July Major update and this Event is in part all about beta-testing them before release, which is not uncommon.
Im just praying that they dont limit it to just the ARMs we have seen the event, for example, AJ168 and ALARM would be surely missed if they were that lazy
AGM88 will be very underwhelming, planes can carry too few and AA like Pantsir/2S6 etc can easily intercept them without any issue.
So you’re better carrying 8 SBD than 2 harms in any context…
I was once eager for them to arrive in-game. Now, given the game setup, I unironically hope not.
The whole munition interception mechanic and the lack of a proper RCS modelling to ordnance has defeated the purpose of ARHs.
You’re better carrying 4SDB + 1 HARM to find any AA on the map by locking on.
Now you have a faux SEAD sensor.
Keep in mind that all the ARM missiles in game are severely underperforming relative to their real counterparts, they have an extremely limited gimble launch limit (some ARMs were able to be launched against targets behind the launching plane), they can’t lock on targets after being launched (even the shrike could do that…), they don’t have inertial guidance to be able to hit targets even if they turned their radar off (admittedly this should have a bit more drift than regular iog systems), and they are missing their proxy fuse like they should have.
They 100% aren’t giving the AGM-88E with MMW
Imagine the pantsir SMSV players crying about how the HARM finds them in smoke with the radar off.

Well being that munitions are unrealistically easy to intercept, they will probably just be shot down like they are by the AI.
