Guys can make a bad map even worse, thanks developers
THOU SHALT NOT FLANK - t. gaijin
I enjoy every variant of North Holland. Smaller for lower tier stuff and the larget for more modern vehicles. Flanking can still be done quite well, especially on the larger variant.
The red zones need to be reworked. You should be able to cross the river in that config. The south west red zone needs to be completely removed, because it just makes counterflanking harder.
However, the best part about North Holland is that you can go in the buildings.
From my point of view, it doesn’t make any sense to block access on the map, you have a clear objective which is to capture the base, each person chooses how they will tie up or protect the capture area, another thing is the tickets, it has to be more for battle n turn into a crazy race and have more time
Is this just not a “response” to the complaints of spawn camping? Specific to close range camping, not long range snipe camping (spawn to spawn style).
If not what was the official response/reasoning?
Oddly when I used to play on similar maps (old ones) teams would avoid these side areas and just yolo face first in the narrowest spots on the maps for quick action/kills/deaths. Pretty much why I quit. So now they officially limit them suddenly players are disappointed, yet when I played it was what I saw most players do as it was the most fun for them.
ah yes, lets review a map off of one gamemode
This map is actually fun for me, I can get kills in them, theres always somebody that hides in the buildings, I’m not good at big maps, but small maps like this with many buildings I’m good bc lot of cover
My personal fav…
Normandy
Carco Port
Berlin and a few more that has weird names :)
This example could be used on any map, move the respawn bases away, place a capture point D, and increase the time of the matches so as not to turn into a crazy race
I wish they could allow access to that area like they do for the eastern europe map.
Nah, with 4 points games will be in a constant stalemate. We dont want to drag games out that much.
Warthunder is wasted potential, the game.
Give the average person one week of control over the game and the game will instantly be twice as good than it is with Gaijin in control.
Doubt, the average person probably doesn’t know how to run a game.
Anyway, the only issue those red zones is from people rushing spawn via those routes, which a lot of people were complaining about getting spawn camped, while yes it still happens, but not to the effect it used too
Virtually everyone that plays this game knows nothing about managing a video game. Please leave the running of the game to the people who know how to do it.
Doubt, the average person probably doesn’t know how to run a game.
Neither does Gaijin.
Okay, so the average person it is then.
Well how else would people still be playing it? Games with no support or updates die.
Clearly having limits on the map is not affecting enough players for them to care about it.
Being able to keep a game alive is hardly proof of knowing what you’re doing when you operate without competition.
The playerbase growth, the increase in content/features, and continuation of updates and bug fixes pretty much disproves your claim.
I bet you couldn’t take a tenth of the criticism Gaijins sees at your own job before crumbling under the weight of it.
I mean do games that are run bad grow as much as wt is doing?
