i guess because adding Arty types would make gaijin under complaints for getting an “Indirect Fire” Gameplay feature, like WoT, while having maps sizing like a handkerchief.

The Sexton could fire either an HE shell or an armour-piercing shell.
Correct me if I’m wrong but the m44 fires only HE shell.
Appears to me the Sexton is more suitable to War Thunder than the m44 is.

There are already suggestions for sextons and other similar vehicles.

I don’t even have the belgian m44 unlocked and I have pretty much the entire french tree. I will never buy it either because I hate copy paste taking the spot of indigenous designs.
It is as everybody else is saying juat lazy devs. The m44 and m55 can be added to so many nations that they just go the easy route.

so if anything, i guess it should be BVV_d that should get called for.
The lazy part is adding them to all the trees. If the nation has no indigenous alternative then fine. Hut most nations have them and adding the copy paste to all just dilutes everything down. Playing a game at around that BR and the M44 being on both sides in pretty much literally any nation combination is jut boring. When they added it it was just M44 deathmatch for some time.

Yes I know for a fact there is at least 4 different sugfestions for french spgs. There is suggestions for such obscure vehicles that I would be surprised if there is not at least 5 duplicate sexton and M7 priest suggestions.
But gaijin goes the path of least resistance and adds copy paste. The whole damn benelux ground tree is 5 vehicles and all are copy paste. Not a single unique one.
The e100 in game also doesn’t have the intended turret and the mause never actually had it’s turret fitted hense why I said not so different (didn’t say they were the same).
I know the e100 never had the turret.
There are many images of the maus with it’s turret so I don’t really know what you are on about.
That thing gets bombed every game, not sure what the problem is. Even when it gets downtier once in a blue moon these flying shit name A2D or something carry enough bombs to kill three Maus in a single pass lol
bombing is not what they called “balance”
they are taking Tank vs Tank balance,
but MAUS have been trialed to different BR Steps:
Post WWII BR → getting raped by HEAT-FS and APDS rounds
Late WWII BR → Stomping on everyone else
this is the reason why MAUS have been hidden, because it is impossible to set it’s BR and get it balanced.
if we were going by “how easy it is to get bombed” then MAUS should be BR 2.0, WWII Stuff in between 1.0 and 2.0, all late war stuff in between 2.0 and 3.0 → reasonning by bombing stuff out shows no interest. (apart SPAAG / SPAAM systems)
Best my knowledge the Russians mated the 2 after capture. They never got to that stage themselves.
