Still seems like such an open door to add more decals and customization options, meanwhile for China have a total of 2 decals combined for air and ground, and pretty sure I got one of those from rotation.

Well, this isn’t anytime soon, right? It’s been almost 2 years now.
I started playing in December '22 and I managed to get the Skeleton Hand and the RAF No. 63 Squadron flash (the second being a decal I use quite a bit) from the last set of the decals. I don’t think I really appreciated them, because now that I’ve looked back at the list of decals I’ve missed, and will likely never have the opportunity of getting again, I feel immensely disappointed.
I would kill to have the JASDF Tactical Fighter Training Group emblem (a decal I missed by a week or two)
Or the French Emblem of SPA 65 Squadron
Or the RAF No. 111 Squadrons decals (both the emblem and the flash)
I want to bump this thread so discussion can get going again. This was a fantastic feature that I would love to see return, and it’s criminal that they abandoned it to be honest. They don’t even need to make any new decals, just rerun the several dozen decals they made for it.

Another prime example of Gaijin’s communication skill, they never even explained why there were gone in the first place as far as I can find.

It’s been so long, and it’s frustrating when you realize how much you would’ve appreciated those decals if you had gotten them at the time.
I’m in the same boat with some of the ones I missed. Bringing these back wouldn’t just make longtime players happy, but it’d also give new players a chance to get involved with the game’s history and build excitement around collecting. It’d definitely make the game feel more rewarding.

Yeah, it’s definitely frustrating when things just disappear without any real explanation. It is something the community really valued, and better communication could’ve cleared up a lot of the confusion.
Even a simple update on why the decals were removed would’ve gone a long way.

God it’s just heartbreaking isn’t it. Imagine having things you can actually put on your unmarked planes.
It really is heartbreaking, isn’t it? It’d make such a difference in how personalized and unique everything feels.
I don’t get why they’d limit access to decals in a game that promotes having so many vehicles available. It just feels like the customization options should match the variety the game is known for

No idea why they can’t just re-run all the former ones if they don’t want to create new ones until AI can do it for free.
Or just add some new decals to the game in general as some nations still have literally nothing.
