Will the typhoon be getting Meteor missiles in the next major update?

behaves the same as the EF radar iirc

the N011M and N035 have an extra value in their blk that limits the TWS ESA update area

Wierd its not also present then on ECRS and Raven.

Thanks, that’s what I meant. The current scan rate for EFT should be fixed but it is made up for with an unrealistic performance in being able to see where it shouldn’t.

Which i actually find more of a nerf than anything actually. You point your radar in one direction and then it jumps back to something in a totally different direction, would be nice if it actually didnt do that.

You might be able to give Houdini a run for his money with how you’re able to frame what is an unrealistic overperformance into a “it’s actually a nerf!”.

I do hope the developers nerf my favorite planes’ radars in being able to track targets in many directions where it can’t physically look.

I am 100% for it being modeled properly. I figured it was a un-intended by product of gimballed AESAs that they hadnt figured out how to fix but as Ron said, it can be fixed.

But the point is, I do not consider it a buff in its current state, in fact I consider it an annoying QoL issue. The number of times ive wanted to point my radar in a specific direction, but TWS returns it to pointing in a different direction and I have to spend valuable time getting it to actually point in the direction I want and look for the target I want is actually very very annoying.

So sure fix it, it would be a QoL buff in my book, not the nerf you think it would be. Then buff the Scan rate

only becasue you arent using manual radar controlls

Yes, if I was, then maybe, but its too clunky to do so with M&K imo and so I only use manual in ASB and i’ve not touched ASB in about 8 months

No. EFTs are the best planes in game and absolutely slaughtering both BvR and only second to rafales in close engagements. Not to mention a ramjet missile is miles ahead of even an AIM-120D

Yeah the FoR for ESA updates is 200/190° in order for the full scan to work. The ESA updates code would need to be changed to fix this. As if the update limit was 140° the 200/190° modes wouldn’t work as we don’t have multiple values for that limit.

Bind “enable axis” to convenient button of choice, then use WSADQE for controlling radar pointer and elevation.

Hmm…

I’ll give it a try

You can do it with a mouse right now, while holding CTRL or whatever you have as a bind for a mouse pointer. Then just left click the area and move it around, pretty neat stuff.

Which is fine for pointing the radar where I want it, but not full manual target selection

If you are talking about picking out a specific target out of a pack, if you click on the dot on the radar screen it’ll lock it.

No, and they dont need the best missiles to compete

Its been incredibly inconsistant of late, requiring multiple clicks to do that and then it will sometimes go into STT and not TWS soft lock.

This is not true. Su30sm2 is much better at close ranges

I’ve always chalked it up to my click settings coupled to the obscene density of targets we usually have to suffer.
