Will the typhoon be getting Meteor missiles in the next major update?

Sounds like a good list to me, would be good to have at least one aircraft that isnt nerfed through the floor

CAMM is underperforming loads at the moment, but its hard to report because most of the usable sources are for ASRAAM and they probably wont accept reports for a CAMM fired from a plane. When ASRAAM gets added, hopefully CAMM can finally be buffed

It would make a big difference but would still be worse than the EF just because of the transonic/supersonic drag coef that the J-10C gets.

The typhoon’s radar suite would still be better and the gap in kinematics would again be marginal (similar to the gap between the EF and the F-15E). You would still have the upper hand in any other aspect over an EX other than raw kinematics.

Oh shit dude my brain read j20 instead of j10.

My bad

CAMM is massively under performing currently.

This is the BARE minimum that the EFT needs for viability.

ECRS needs to be properly modeled to be able to use its jamming ability to cause enemy missiles to self destruct and to have the ability to conduct ECM attacks on enemy planes to turn of their engines. There is a white paper out there that suggests the British were researching this ability in the 1990s and it has likely been incorporated into ECRS Mk.2.

Let alone the fact that its scan rate is 1/3 ish what it should be in most modes

Yeah ECRS in real life would be more effective in its own right just due to its electronic attack capabilities than basically any plane in the game equipped with a full missile load out. It’s literally gimped because of Anti British bias.

Well, while the scan rate is underperforming, it seems that the electronic scan gimbal limit is overperforming no? So overall might be balanced out

No?

Its modeled correctly based upon best available sources, with the exception of the scan rate, which should only be 190deg/sec in the 180/200 mode due to simulating the repositioner. In all other modes it should be 560+

Its first ive heard of anything regarding gimbal limit being wrong

Hmm, I could be mistaken, but it was something regarding radars like the Irbis-E overperforming that Gunjob said, I can’t find his comment but it made me think it was something to do with gimbaled ESA radars. @Gunjob

its that they can update targets outside of where they would be physically able to do so

you can put your scan zone in the EF completly to the right meaning that the gimbal would also have to face right so that the radar is able to scan there

but TWS ESA is still able to update targets all the way on the left of the radar screen even tho the radar physically isnt able to see those

Ah… yeah that sounds like a reasonable issue, though also something that is unlikely to be fixable any time soon with the spaghetti code

it is fixable the N011M dosent do that
neither does the N035

Hmm… interesting… figured it would be a universal constant for all GImballed AESAs, what about Raven?
