Will Gaijin add a new control option for controlling the rear prop on the AH-56?

Does anybody have any information on this? I would assume they’d do what they did with the Harriers and give us a dedicated control mapping input to set the rotation of the nozzles for VTOL. Really hoping they’ll do the same here so we can control the pitch of the rear prop. Really important and beneficial feature of compound helicopters like this is the ability to control the direction and amount of thrust of the rear prop to be able to hold a nose down or nose up position in a hover without drifting. Anybody have any links or anything where they discuss this?

Depends on how thrust is done.
If thrust is done automatically via air speed and stick pitch, then probably no added controls.
And if independently controlled, then a new control would be required.

There are many ways to do pusher props.

Who even knows at this point.

Why would a pusher prop be controlled by stick pitch…

Depends on the engineer’s goals.
Congrats on the bug report by the way.

Yeah I tested it in the dev server, no pilot control of the rear prop pitch smh. I will say though, the implementation isn’t terrible, the rear prop kicks in at around 80 knots, then by 100 you’re able to release the collective fully and it accelerates and flies like a plane. Pretty intuitive so shouldn’t be an issue for MKB folks. Very very unfortunate that we can’t control it though. Would’ve been a game changer for atgm use and rocket runs/lofting. Imagine the damage you could do knowing the range of a target and being able to hold a perfect AoA. The stick twist on my collective is begging to be used xD

Man re-reading this that response is crazy. “If you have a feature for the game…” feature??? that’s a core functionality of the vehicle they’re implementing. Its like adding the AIM-120s and giving them an IR seeker or like adding the harriers and not allowing us to adjust the nozzles. It wouldn’t even be able to pitch up on take off. Like huh???

The 2 "volunteers’ who closed my bugs never even played the mode I was bug reporting on…

its maddening
