I’d say keep it on the Sherman II, as if you take it away the thing becomes less than worthless. But give the round to every other QF 75 vehicle.
The case for the 57mm M86 comes from the fact that the US 57 is a license-built copy of the British 57. British 6-pdr APDS was used in US 57s at Bulge, implying their ammo was cross-compatible.
And lastly, Britain is the only nation without much APHE in the otherwise “golden era of WT” from 3.3-4.3, before you get a bunch of 17-pdrs that have enough postpen spall to make up for no filler.
Absolute rubbish as you are well aware, one mis-type in 1943 leads to silliness in 2025. This should have been picked up by Gaijin during their QA process.
Gaijin also thinks the VK 3002 only weighs 35t 🤷🏻♂️
Someone mistyped the incendiary filler for 13mm AP-I as 0,36g (less than some 7.62mm AP-I carry) and Gaijin still claims it’s the correct value despite me providing them with 3d modelled 13mm bullet with the incendiary filler area being big enough to stuff around 0,8g of incendiary (depending on the density, it could be as much as 0,9g or f.e. 0,86g, wink wink, because no way in hell someone would fail to close the “8”, or for it to get smudged up and someone else wrongly writing it down).
If there was only 0,36g of incendiary in there, the cavity qould have to be mostly filled with air.
But since “that’s what’s in a document” (even though it contains a lot of weird data and typing errors), that’s what’s modelled in game.
Yeah, basically all they have to do is take the density of RHA, they can even assume the "highest value* out of the selected range, then model UFP sized plate of 2cm thickness and turret face plate as thick as difference between VK and Panther Ds, and just subtract the weight of these 2 from Panther D weight, if there are any other differences in thickness, repeat the process, then compare the suspension, do the same. Then subtract additional 700kg out of good will (maybe some things were maden lighter and more delicate for the early, less armored variant f.e. parts of the suspension, nor some.more sophisticates designs were used) and we’ll end up around 40-41t, and that’s me being optimistic.
I don’t know man, the document of the VK 30.02 (M), made before any prototypes were built, says 35 tons.
Clearly it’s correct. You’re just hatin’ 💅.
