Lmao. You guys are beyond saving. Pick a side, does the autoloader/basket EAT or GENERATE spall. They function the same in terms of spalling, but you say it eats spall on the autoloader but generates it on the basket. The new modules eat spall, they don’t generate it.
As for this, I don’t even know what to say man, US players are something else.

two issues with what you all claim:
1.gaijin doesn’t balance the game in terms of overperforming tank or overused nation or we would already be seeing the demise of the usa/russian tech tree for being overused. and that ok with me i played my merkava with the 6 sec loading time and find it acceptable. the problem i have with this turret basket update is the unrealistic damage module not every shot that hit the turret basket should take the whole system, not every part in the turret basket is connected to the mechanism that move the turret ring itself. but when you put unrealistic damage module and adding the fact that spall liner seems to do nothing you get that 90 percent of the incoming shots at you disable you completely either by taking your engine and turret basket or taking enough relevant crew members. and don’t get me wrong i adjusted my gameplay accordingly but its still annoying comparing the russian carousal that sometimes absorbs shots that just disable the autoloader and that’s it even though you see the shot you made going through the ammo in the carousal.
2. if you want to make the minor nation more interesting you don’t have to do it on the expense of the major nation, just add to those minor nation their unique tanks and aircrafts. gaijin are doing it really well with china top tier but neglect to do it with israel or japan. nerfing the leo’s and abrams wont make players go grind israel or japan it will make them go play russia cause its a shut your brain gameplay with overperforming CAS due to the kh 38mt on one of the better platforms in the game currently
For the leopard at least this “nerf” is not even felt, on the contrary, the trunnion thing seems to absorb spall sometimes.
In the abrams i don’t notice it because you just get 1 shot most times, but i can see that for abrams it’s a bigger nerf, i remember having a hard time sometimes against abrams because of side shots not killing and resulting in the abrams getting a shot back. But that was already changed when they added the pump, the basket is just a drop of a “nerf”.
Edit: After checking the baskets the abrams basket is noticeably more “squished” and bigger, which means more spall can hit it damaging it, the leopard one is taller and slimmer, which means shrapnel has a lower chance of outright disabling it.
merks just need armor modeled right from what i heard

merks doesn’t need anything right now. the tank wasn’t design for facing modern tank in combat for its main purpose. slight increase in armor wont help its cause even modern analyze of the tank suggest that the front engine method wont help it stop most apfsds which is the state ingame already. they do need to correct its trophy system to react to the shallow flying kh38mt.
i can tell you from personal experience today and yesterday each shot that went into my leo were either killing 3/4 crew members or hitting the turret basket and creating enough spall to kill the engine also
Exactly. Or Germans or whoever. Except some streamlined youtube vids from content creators: How often do you really see F-16/15/EF2000/Apache etc beeing spawned and used with great success in GRB?
Stuff getting frequently spawned, even spammed or in contrast rarely spawned … Well that’s an indicator for opness (or lack of^^). It always has been like this. Vehicles which get good results get spammed. Stuff which is too complicated to use and has usually little success is just not spawned.
That’s the answer why the sky is usually full of Suchois and Kamovs, but not of F-15, Apache or EF2000. With alot skill you can make most things work. But thats not what matters.

i think the real problem with CAS on nato side is the missile department.
mav’s are way too slow to make a consistent impact
brimstone require laser lock at all time so you have to play and sneak around cause flying straight and you’ll get a missile up your face.
the Kh38 series are fast and hits hard and even france HAMMER line of missile are wonderful
so either give everyone the same level or A2G capabilities or don’t implement broken stuff
The biggest issue is gaijin only gave one nation any real ability to defend against top tier cas, and at the same time game that same nation a fictional A2G weapon that far surpasses anyone else’s.
The current situation is hardly shocking.
im okay with them adding the kh38 into game i found and easy solution to that with Sweden. get 2 kills, die, spawn in f18 and sits around and wait for them to spawn and shot aim120 up their asses.
but they still need to either give better A2G missile for the NATO counterparts or give us better land systems that can deal with the spam of the su-30/34 for all nation so i wont have to depend on my brain dead premium teammates
They could simply make KH-38 laser guided as well. They did it with Brimstones to tone them down for GRB. Wounder why they can’t do this with KH-38. Especially since its highly questionable whether KH’s exist irl.
whether they exist or not its not the problem nor would only removing the the thermal version would solve it. the kh38 is basicly a cruise missile in function due to speed and explosive mass. removing the thermal would slow the rate of firing but still get 3 kills in my opinion before any team can react properly. the solution is to add on par missile to the lacking nation in that department
Removing the TE version and making them laser guided would mean CAP has more than 5 seconds to prevent a salvo being launched.

Yep, its rarely talked about. But the explosive mass is similar to that of a 500lb bomb. It leaves a real physical crater on the map. You can’t survive even a near hit. While Brims or Mav always have the chance to fail in killing the target, even if it hits.
KH-38 is just not comparable to all other systems. Its the upper league without competitors.
again the problem is the you dont have CAP in air most of the times cause:
1.russian teams are rushing you in order to fast spawn a kh38 platform
2.most NATO players dont like to spawn CAP loadouts cause its boring (i personally love it and find it more fun then ARB)
so as i said earlier removing it wont solve the problem to the fullest only partly due to the reason above.
you can spawn ito-90 or flakrad but most players can lock you up and then out g you VT1 missile and you would still dead and he would be flying and launching missiles
as i said its more a cruise missile rather then anti tank missile
