i dont think the IDF design a 85 tons heavy tank to face rpg threat alone, it tank a literal kornet btw
the armor of merkavas ingame is the equivalent to 10 stack of rubber(it is btw, its not composite, its rubber multiplier equivalent)
the side armor also has better armor than frontal armor
the merkavas is by no mean accurate
Yeah the kh-38 is basically the king of all FnF, even smoking in a flarakrad isn’t enough sometimes, but i will attribute some blame to friendly teams as well, look at the sky and smoke, or if you know theres a su up. I always tell my team if i know there’s a kh slinger, most don’t even look or acknowledge it.
I know it’s hard to learn but you should always listen carefully, you can hear agms coming(including the kh), and even a late smoke pop can save you, at least if you’re in a 2a7v (sometimes i can just tank kh38 i shit you not), paying attention can save you.
Thats why while I often lose my AA truck. Even when you smoke and try to drive away. The spash damage is insane. While a Maverick doesn’t do alot when it misses.
I wish Gajin would have mercy with us and just removes this thing. It kills high br GRB.
The only Abrams that i suggest people that are grinding for Top Tier US is the M1A1, it’s literally the best Abrams in the game, other than that the M1A2 and SEPs are worse and not worth the grind at all.
They can only do that 1 time tho(and only if they’re far enough that your VT1 is low energy), they don’t magically get their energy back and if you’re smart you can just smoke and lock them using radar, most of the time it works and the only limiting factor is the amount of smokes you have.
Then again if they’re smart they can just negate that by staying out of range, but most aren’t that smart.
Yeah thx, I always keep an eye on the sky, but just to keep with that loss. I smoked and moved, but this KH thing still hit close enough and offed my tracks (and gun^^). The next KH-38 killed me. I just decided to don’t play this anymore. Its currently better to play lower BRs.
How can they even allow something like that ingame. Any other ordnance piece would have missed me, but this russian thing is just impossible to spoof. Its just crazy, two KH-38 jets killed the whole team.
- no tank would survive a kornet hit unless fired at the thickest part.
alot of the weight is also the fact that the merkava is much larger then western standard tanks
bring proof and not classified info and ill gladly die on that hill with you but until then i dont see a reason to change the armor
Yeah that is how most games go on my end too, once they have enough kh spammers they literally win, only good games are when they somehow don’t have any cas.
if you hear the missile it can be already too late
It’s a case study in terrible game design.
It’s supposed to be Rock-paper-scissors, not rock-paper-tactical nuke
In game, both EAT spall, they don’t generate it.
Right? The tank was designed for the threats it faced but it wasn’t limited to those. It’s like saying that just because the Leopard 2A7V was designed/made to face modern tanks it can’t face chemical threats. It’s obvius that maybe the protection against kinetic threats is lower/not greater than modern tanks that ‘are designed to face modern tanks’ but it does have protection. Moreover, I don’t think that the IDF only thinks about their nearest threats, but also worldwide threats, and assuming they have advanced weaponry, it’s obvious they also have something to protect themselves with. Either way, although I’d love to see the Merkavas get more armor (for not it’s all green on the protection analysis from DM23s to DM53s), I do think that it’s survivable, you just need to somehow learn how to play it. Also, the 85 ton number has been discussed several times with no ‘reliable sources’. It’s weird that the tank weighs 65t while the Namer weighs the same with no turret, but that’s something we’re not discussing.
You don’t even have a single Abrams… And you perform better in the 2A5 over the T-80UK (0.77 K/D vs 0.71)
i HIGHLY doubt it
i would not die for classified document because unlike every other country the IDF is extremely careful on their classified documents
I’ve extensively tested this.
and i am extensively in doubt that you have tested it
The Horizontal Drive(turret basket) does generate additional spall if hit directly, you can easily test this by hitting the back of the drive and see an additional layer of spall from the point of contact with the drive.
Deny facts all you want. Both the basket and autoloader eat spall.
As for @WereCat888, if you’re using protection analysis, don’t. Its not trustworthy, and every experienced player knows how much it lies.
