So is copy paste more fun in the game than a made up vehicle?
This^
And look at the polls. Most people want to keep the vehicles in game.
EDIT:
And if you check closely, the majority that want the R2Y2 removed, are also the people who havent played them.
I personally think we have " Forum people" who hardly even play the game or think about the game when they post. They just come on here to demonstrate the knowledge they have from the book of planes they got for Christmas : )
I also think we have many people who are so conditioned to talk drivel and repeat the same old mantra that they cant think before they type : )
The fact those planes were in the game for years says it all about how much of an negative effect they have in a game which is fictional anyway. Fictional planes in a fictional game.
This is a game of WW2 planes vs Cold War Jets ,Italy ,Japan,Germany all on the same map or its a game where the vehicles have no historical connection to the maps they are on.
Nothing about the actual game has anything to do with History.I find it funny to see all those who argue against era separation and keeping respect for WW2 are the same people going on about how we must obey history regarding paper planes.
A huge percentage of the vehicles in this game never saw a days service with their respective nations armies or anybody else.
If historical accuracy is important to you then this game is not the game for you yet here we are with the removal of a vehicle due to " Historical accuracy"
I wonder if we have a game and a forum full of baffling lunatics sometimes.I ask again are we doing fact or fantasy here? If we are doing a silly mix of both then Gaijin should do that and don’t worry about what was real and what wasn’t. I’m not bothered you’re not bothered ,who gives a damn anymore ? Dont worry mate ,they will be moaning about gaps and Copy paste soon : )
You can still find that over 800km/h, the TWR is improving, which is even higher than 400km/h performance, consider the Jets fight speed range, unless you keep very low speed(under 400km/h), keep faster still be the best choice than low speed
Aermacchi MB-339 might be good
Aermacchi mentioned🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹💯💯💯
This is definitely something Gaijin needs to pay attention to when deciding to remove vehicles from them game.
Are the people asking for its removal people who have used the vehicle? If so then maybe we should look into their reasons why, if not then why are we listening to them at all?
I personally have not gone down the Japan TT at all, and I absolutely suck at playing air battles, But even I see it as a waste to remove these plane as it hurts the TT and gives me less of a reason to want to play Japan.
This describes 90% of Gaijin’s devs/game “masters” and alot of the people who want these planes removed. Its funny, and frustrating, watching them completely ignore most of someone’s counter argument for keeping the planes just so they can continue harping on “historical accuracy” in an unhistorical game.
Quite frankly, Yes. However their are also unique vehicles that can replace it in time, like the P-1.
To be very clear; the idea of Gaijin removing the R2Y2s are not new at all. The earliest publication by Gaijin itself that I have found was in 2019, where Gaijin makes a general statement claiming how they “have previously [mentioned our plans] to hide vehicles that were never fully materialized in real life as a complete vehicle, prototype or test vehicle.”
They then stated in 2022 during a QnA that “We can talk about [the R2Y2s] withdrawal from the game when there is a replacement ready for these aircraft. It’s all already in our plans.”
You have had… 3 years? To fight against their removal. As have many, many other people. Gaijin does not try and keep their work with removal secret, at least not after the Panther II/KT105/Coelian uproar.
You HAD the chance to fight against it. You HAD the chance to convince Gaijin. And you know what? You all were silent.
You proceed to call everyone here essentially keyboard warriors and forum fanatics. And yet. They are not the ones who only started complaining about its removal only once it was made clear.
Not only that, but the forum is the designated place for people to talk about and “complain” about (ask for ammends to) the game. If you want gaijin to listen to you; the squeaky wheel gets the grease. You need to be much louder about it much longer for changes like these to occur. That is why the realism players are getting their way, and the “just keep it” people aren’t. The realism players are louder.
In all, just understand. Their is almost no way to stop gaijin. Next time, if you want this to not happen, you need to be louder before the change rather than after it. Hope this can help people understand.
So in a fictional game which WT certainly is, why bother? The amount of time they have been in the game certainly suggests they are not game breaking or that there has been a huge wave of hate demanding their removal.
I have seen so much post war garbage shoveled into this game in that time that we are not even talking the same game in terms of reality or history .Its a fantasy game now for certain.Waiting for the game to lose its last touch of reality then removing a fictional plane is stupid beyond belief.
No we complained on this forum if we were bothered like any thing else and it either got ignored or left for years. The game did not flood itself with Copy pastes a few years ago.It loves it now and we are all thinking the replacement will be just that.
More non Japanese junk that is seen elsewhere so we are all playing the same vehicle like an 80s video game.
Not in this case because the plane was in the game for years and nobody cared that much. They ground it and used it and faced it.It became a War Thunder plane and like all the other planes it faced enemies it would not have faced even if it was real because War Thunder is fake anyway and creates a million impossible scenarios a thousand times a day.
Its the first thing us history buffs have to get used to in this game.
Mate we have a forum full of complaints and we have two sets of people wanting different things ,then we have Gaijin’s money making agenda and confused management/development team.
My take on the R2Y2 is that nobody gives a damn anymore either way like nobody cares when they see the Maus in the game or even a Panther 2 .
History or reality has no place when you are attacking the D point 😆
You talk about accepting Gaijin well stupidity is part of that acceptance and the R2Y2 is part of that stupidity just like the M44 in WW2 is part of it or helicopters attacking Tiger twos is part of it. Its a game bro
Mate, we were all fighting against their removals. People have dead ass complain about the ahistorical Panther II being brought back and honestly, most of us seemed to have to the consensus if it’s done for a rare special event. We get to see semi-historical vehicles, and to an extent, Ahistorical vehicles brought back just for that rare event. However NOT standard tech tree.
How would a mid anti submarine plane that would be useless in air rb be a replacement for the r2y2s?
R2Y2s are in the light bomber/attacker tree.
“Better” versus an actual healthy unique vehicle.
Because the P1 actually does the task that the R2Y2s were intended for. The R2Y2s are intended to be bombers. Not fighters. (Many indications, but mainly, the fact its in the light bomber tree and that its camos are only unlockable through Base Bombing damage and not Enemy Kills).
Interestingly, they are soon changing that camouflage unlock requirement for R2Y2 from base bombing to player-only kills (not that it changes the fact that the R2Y2s are still classified jet bombers).
(from gszabi99’s Reddit datamine leak)
The P-1 will still definitely be a unique and cool aircraft, even if it is limited to anti-ship weapons only.
By a whole 70kgf. The curve is as flat as you could ever see. And your max thrust is actually static thrust. Of course staying fast is superior to being slow but it has nothing to do with thrust in this case.
It isn’t limited. It has AGM-65s, bombs, mines, and torpedoes.
I for one am glad these unhistorical disgraces will no longer destroy my suspension of disbelief when playing the game.
Nothing takes me more out of the game’s historical atmosphere than when I’m trying to fire a sidewinder missile from my supersonic American F11F-1 at a one-of-a-kind rocket powered Me 262 C-2b to get him off the tail of my Russian ally flying his equally unique La 174 prototype in Spanish airspace, and then this totally unrealistic Imperial Japanese eyesore comes into view.
And who could ever forget about swedish post war wagons travelling back in time to fight T-34s and Shermans?
Or when the Soviet Union’s 1950s light tank traveled to 1943 to fight against Tigers and Panthers.
Which the German countered by using an American SPG from the 50s to fight against the USA.
