Selective realism bud you want to buff a tank that’s doing just fine by adding more things to make it stronger than it’s relative counterparts? If the game was actually realistic no one would play it that’s the bottom line cause Germany and USA on the tanks in game have a lot missing that would break the game as per other topics, learn what game balance is and then come talk instead of hiding behind the fact that the stats and sources provided showing doesn’t mean anything because I haven’t unlocked the top tier merkava. You’re KDs on powerful top tier tanks is subpar compared to mine and your kds on Merkavas you and I have used are also subpar. Guarantee I unlock it and you’ll be crying about something else if my KD on those tanks are better than yours
Stats are stats and on the vehicles stats alone Merkavas are performing well and above as per the conversation. Sorry you can’t have it all to help your skill out.
🤦♂️ bro holy hell. Can we get some common sense. Tank don’t tank. Tank is wrong. Bug report for tank. Report accepted for tank. Tank therefore confirmed misrepresented. We can go all day about you’re kd that you so proudly bestow upon us. But at the end of the day it’s something you just don’t get cause you’re just another hater bro.
Play top tier merks
Tank don’t tank, me tank supposed to blow up all other tanks, me tank supposed to survive all tanks, me file bug report, Gajin say no cause if they approve bug report they need to approve all other bug reports making game unbalance. Me cry me sad me @Got_a_choppa
And if you do well. Congratulations we’ll give you a cookie
You wanna answer my question now as to why the merks need nerfed now? Maybe we can get some insight to your skill set that makes you hate them so much
You sway one way then the other way then hide behind bug reports then cope saying have a cookie when the stats are presented to you top down left right and side to side. Like I said, Merkava is perfectly fine, it performs well, adding armor and keeping it at its current BR is a buff when there’s a ton of other tanks missing a lot. Agree to disagree and move on.
I don’t hate them as per my FIRST comment in this forum. This forum just can’t handle that the Merkava is fine where it’s at and performing well or above average regardless if the armor is right or wrong. I can preach all day about other top tier tanks missing items that will make it unbearable for everyone else in game but the games fine where it’s at besides the ACTUAL broken BMPT.
I think I’ve been pretty straight forward actually. I think you’re the one making the bends in what I’m saying. Look I’ll put it at this. The merks perform pretty subpar. They don’t really excel in any category other than composition coverage and reverse. The only thing I’m advocating for is just an extra 100 mm of ke efficiency to the turret which wouldn’t make a dramatic impact but would still help a little bit. It’s sad to see 3bm42 or 3bm22 at certain spots be able to pass through some of the thickest points of the turret. Anything above that just wacks the living hell out of it. I’m afraid if the new turret basket gets added it will be definitely doomed. One shot as of now knocks out engine, transmission, vertical drive occasionally with how massive the module is. It will just get harder and harder to play and stay competitive with more internal modules to disable it
Cool, not reading that and I’m done arguing on the forums of the Merkava based on the guy whining it’s struggling who started this. The data is there out in the open, plain and simple get good or not that’s on you guys.
Good riddance 😂
Indeed it is. And it is not accurate
I’d say I’ve probably ridden in more Merkava Mk4Ms than anyone here. It’s a good tank, but I can’t believe people are saying it needs nerfs. If you’re just talking about anti-tank performance, the Type 99 or the Challenger are easily stronger. That’s my take, anyway. And honestly, I can’t wrap my head around why anyone would forget that the base Merkava Mk4M (Type B) is rated at 12.3.
The reason his rating is 12.7 is because of the APS, which gives him adaptability to different environments. I like this, so I think it’d be fine if they just boosted the KE resistance on the front hull to around 480mm.
Well, the reason other nations’ win rates are low is simply because their player base spans from strong to weak players.
Imagine Ground not being a pinnacle clusterfuck of a game mode, couldn’t be War Thunder.
Israel was just nice speedrun, with Merks being unique tanks instead standard issue, Leopard, copypaste, mark 1.
After reload was kicked up from 7 to 5 seconds, buff no one asked for, when “fixing armor” should be an option for tank famous for its survivability. Not only that, whole SLERA armor could make nice “expendable armor” gameplay gimmick, deteriorating with every hit taken.
Now this I would love to see. Not only would it make it pleasing aesthetically and visually if they made it deteriorate after every hit but it would act as the balancing point for it to have higher ke values. Also would make it a little more realistic. This is definitely a suggestion that should be made. Just don’t know how to get the devs to even want to spend more than an hour to add anything more for merks. Personally I’m hoping for my holy god balls at the back of the turret
Dude…
Israel is one of the worst top tier country in GRB
And i dont know why but Merkava 4m is one of the best top tier tank according to statshark.
But GJ didn’t fix armor, there is no NERA in Merkava. Only SLERA and NxRA.
And both of these armor packs are much better then classic NERA
Technically, all you need to perform well in any ground vehicle is adequate mobility and adequate penetration on your primary armament. You won’t need ultra high pen nor you will need armor when you always hit weakspots/flank shots before you’re hit yourself.
Merks have long and proven reputation of being mediocre tanks put at end of boring copypaste nation with no redeeming traits, so most people just avoid Israel and that was before recent flustercluck. Anyone who bothers playing this nation usually knows what he’s getting into and on average they make functional lemonade out of that lemon.
For extra funny, compare American and Taiwanese Abrams, when you remove US playerbase from the equation this tank becomes biblically accurate Abrams.
maybe saying “tech tree” would have upset less people.
I’mma be real with you, I’ve been a Merkava main for about a year now. I consistently play the Merkava Mark 4M. I have around 4,000 kills with it and a 1.58 K/D, and I’ve noticed many inconsistencies and problems with the tank.
In your point, you are indeed correct. The spacing of the crew does help a lot when it comes to survivability and handling shots in general. It can be a strong brawler in some cases, but it is very RNG-based, especially when it comes to the engine and the front hull.
With the introduction of the LMUR the nerf to the top armor and the laser warning system not registering in many cases when it comes to the LMUR. It is clear that this missile was introduced as a direct counter to the Merkava and its APS and other types of APS.
The struggle of the armor is very real, especially in open maps, where your big size, lack of armor, and the between Russian and NATO-standard gun depression make you very exposed. Big maps usually decide the match based on who can play hull-down better, which the Merkava is lacking.
it doesn’t have the capability to be in a hull down position effectively because of its very weak turret cheeks, around 450–600 mm.
Now, why does it have a high win rate? That’s the player, not the tank. The Merkava gives you a lot of information and an amazing advantage over other players with its APS and IRST, making it almost an optional SPAA that can defend itself while fighting back.
However, its big size and weak armor make it a very challenging tank to play in many situations and it is not as forgiving as a Leopard or a T-series tank.
When you get matched with Israel, you might see one to three Merkava players max in a lobby, if you are lucky. That’s because not many players can actually use it effectively, and those who do are probably players who either invested many hours learning how to play it or are simply great players in general who know the maps very well and have a good enough reaction time and game knowledge to effectively use it’s great gun and good mobility for their advantage.
