Nope, really isn’t, I’m not too familiar with the E3/A3 variation yet, is it planned to be Autoloaded?
Oh, yeah, that is a good point, I was reading it as why the Abrams never got upgraded with one later on.
it didn’t occur to me that @Dont_hit_me might have meant why it wasn’t built with on from the start.
You’ve confused official US Department of Defense documents with statements by Gaijin. Learn to read correctly. LOL.
yes, it is planned to have a crewless turret iirc
You are the one that is claiming that gaijin themselves stated that they did not model DU in the turret cheeks of the Abrams. then linked a post where they say the exact opposite, It is not my reading that is the issue here.
Ah, taking inspiration from the EMBT program I see. looked over the Autoloader diagram trademarked by KM-W a year ago, it’s pretty odd, I can’t lie.
really? i thought it would be taking more from the Abrams X demonstrator
i wonder how similar the E3’s autoloader will end up being to it
I mean, I suppose the A-X program could be 100% a self contained idea, but considering the plethora of “Future MBT projects” and its canny similarities to them, I just drew an assumed conclusion.
they can add ukraine abrams

They’re talking about Hull Armor
actually read the post holy christ
That would be for the hull, you will notice the DU protection is still in the turret in the game model.
You will notice in the section where they mention the lack of DU in the SEPs they are talking about the reports of the hull DU, not DU in general.
While they could have been moe specific, everything in the paragraphs before and after are specifically referring to hull DU.
And they had already stated M1A2 in game has DU in the turret cheeks and SEP and SEP V2 are M1A2 Abrams.
Also just made a correlation. MCGS, EMBT, and one more based on a current leopard chassis. None of those really matter, however, I remembered back to MBT-70/KPz-70 and how it eventually became the XM-1 and later Abrams. This could be a similar situation, just with less taxpayer dollars and steps.
Simple and direct answer: Due to the doctrine and the person who wrote the doctrine. When a military lead by bunch of leader like James G. Burton (author of Pentagon War, also a member of a group of officer that don’t trust any technologies) then is not surprise whole army only fighting with a bolt action rifle
Yeah, getting military leaders to adopt new technology is always a bit of an up hill battle.
“why do we need tanks? we have perfectly good horses and they don’t need petrol.”
E3 I understood that it was Abrams, but what is A3?
So, if Gaijin adds it to the game, the Abrams M1A2 will become one of the most powerful tanks in the game. Yes, it still won’t have armor, but neither will the other tanks.
wow so cool so many ERA
It doesnt matter how much armor there id. You are playing the Abrams wrong. Tje anrams is fast. Great reberse and power to weight ratio. You want to flank your enemy like a hellcat. The same for duo. The abrams is build for that. Abrams is just flank and surprise. Thats what you want to do.
