The OSA is vastly superior to the trash Rolands at the same BR, missiles outrange everything for 10.3 and it can shoot down helicopters/jets pretty reliably on a head on, the proxy fuze on the 9M33M3 is massive and has a lot of explosive filler so it’s a guaranteed one shot.
Not to mention the Rolands can barely pull what feels 6g, bleed all their speed on the slightest turn and lose all control after 3km while 9M33M3 can pull its full 24G for its entire travel time.
Yeah I know what he is trying to do, but with thermals - I don’t even need a lock a lot of the time in 2S6. Just visual aim and get the missile within proxi range. I often find locking to be quite optional.
yeah that non sense update trashed the roland and the effects of “realistic missile” whatever has not been applied to the osa as it came out. what frustrates me is that they know the roland is trash so they gave the airfield rolands completely different missile charasteristics where theyre able to hit targets in situatiosn where the normal roland would never hit with the same damn missile.
I meant the OSA, when it was first on the dev. Roland has the new flight model
As for the AF Rolands, they are the same. Just AI uses data you can not to predict the flight path better.
It doesn’t have 20km range and can’t hit 4 targets at once and I doubt the 2S6 can hit something pull 12Gs 15km from.thr battlefield like the Pantsir can
Yes, doesn’t seem like they do anything, but also doesn’t hurt. Nothing else to use them against anyway in GSB and AMX has 120 CMs and the Jaguar has 270.
it seems like the missiles are better as they are able to maneuver so strong that the 3point guidance does not lag behind at all. despite how strongly you lead, the normal roland missile cant do this. even with maximum lead during maneuvering it cant.
I dont think i ever felt that. Ofc there are multipel thing impacting the player sitde like ping etc, while the server one get the date where you will be in a second, and can lead correctly.
just like the stormer hvm it gets countered by enemy plane/heli having a pair of functional eyes or ears or the ability to slightly maneuver and not flying straight
Range aside, my issue with IRST is that it doesn’t give me gun ranging estimates for the 30mm. I need to sort out an actual keybind for switching to IRST quickly, as I’ve been going into the menu and selecting it, lol.
