It is a parody, but it does show the most used area of that map.
Also, that isn’t believable at all.

Well, it is quite believable when this was real;
I don’t think I’ve ever understood the meta that War Thunder has in mind when designing the game. I don’t know if it’s the players or the developers who’s behaviour is driving the matches to be over as quickly as possible, I think it’s a bit of both but with very little overlap.
We the few who want larger maps are still going to be at odds with the majority of the player base. I think it’s fair to say that the silent majority are just happy to load into the battle and push buttons, enjoy the bright flashes and loud bangs and if they get a few kills along the way it’s a bonus. A big map is just going to hinder most players who just want to rush into the furball. Using БЕИ 's image as an example, it doesn’t matter how big the map is people are just going to funnel themselves into chokepoints anyway.
Lately I would describe the war thunder map/battle experience as being dropped into a Jaw Crusher for rocks. Your team starts as a big blob and there we’re methodically smashed into smaller pieces and confined into progressively tighter spaces before being spat out at the end (the grind if you will).
because a large majority of the player base prefers smaller maps, next question.
Adding a “switch” to choose only large/small/all should be a fast and easy fix. Same way they did with night battles
I dont know if this is actually real (I hope not) but anyway the small version of Holland is genuinely the single worst map they ever added to this game.
Im sorry but when every single game ends with literally 20-30 dead tanks all in one single map square, no one can tell me with a straight face that the map has been designed well.
The only reason I havent banned it is because Seversk is my permanent ban due to the fact that if its not banned 5 out of every 10 games I ever play are on seversk (which is a whole different thing to complain about).
This picture is doctored lol
I don’t think its as straightforward as the majority ‘preferring’ small maps, I thinks it’s just that they expect small maps.
Most people don’t actually know what they like, If there was more positive exposure to SIM ground I wouldn’t be surprised if players would begin shifting towards it
No most people prefer it. This is just speculation trying to force your viewpoint.
Mr pom pom you sure you didn’t pull another ad populum? low tier to mid tier where most things don’t have a range finder your statement might be true, but this is simply not true for 10.0+, you can start a poll to see how many likes corridor maps and be specific about vehicle rank because it heavily influences how one plays their vehicle to enjoy.
I’m getting fed up with small maps at top tier, Every poll I’ve seen has larger maps in favor by 80% yet they refuse to address it. But I’m not surprised
Seeing as you have presented nothing to support you claim and therefor:
“This is just speculation trying to force your viewpoint”
Man this is way easier than actually having a discussion and listening to people.
I personally base my preference for larger maps on my sim experience.
With more breathing room for tanks to spread out and less visual clutter, I find more success in using all of the available map and terrain. In GRB it seems like players flock to ‘meta’ positions on the map

I loved that map
Its just sad that gaijin doesnt listen to the community when it comes to stuff thats not REDFOR related.
Then we would have finally gotten good maps, instead of close range maps that Russian tanks excel on due to their Fake Russian Fantasy ERA.
I have, many times in threads like this which are remade by bad players almost daily, which you clearly have not read. But thats not convenient for the average forum users narrative.
I think it has a ton of potential to be incredibly good if designed right. The old large version was kinda bad, but ut could be a lot better.
They seem to mess up Chinese vehicles alot too, so that argument doesn’t hold a ton of water.
My own theory is just that it’s easier to get information for Russian vehicles, and that there are less conflicting sources. Plus Nato tanks can be very good in CQC too.
Only Germany, Sweden and Israël. But with the constant nerfing, i dont know for how long.
The current maps are all designed around Russian vehicles. CQC or flat long distance.
The only 3 good maps IMHO, are Pradesh, Red desert and Big Tunisia.
Also, big Mozdok was very good. All variants of big Mozdok.
