The Conqureor should be frontally IMMUNE to 122 APHE, that is ENTIRELY what it was built to defeat, YET the mantlet is missing HALF its armor plating, and has no Volumetric calculations done to it meaning, shells WILL just practically teleport through it.
The dude even hit my MACHINE GUN, yet the shell just went right through with no isse.
Even provided multiple sources, even one of the Schematics of the tank, But Gaijin Did one of their classic “Nah man, they built it like this, trust me bro” moves.
I had armor all the way through to the gun cradle its self.
Also going digging through old reddit threads, I found that it actually DID have the correct mantlet a few years ago, then they nerfed it hard in 2016 or so, (Even after getting the full armor plans from Bovington which showed the mantlet was ALOT thicker)
it doesn’t help that the Conqureor in game has a VERY poorly modeled Mantlet.
Wrong shapes, angles, the flat part around the barrel its self is too small. The MG is also sunk in alot further IRL, which backs up the fact it has more armor.
I ask the same reasonings as to why 3bm22 can front pen top tier merks but gaijin wont give a good reason. got to love how much time they spend on just printing out premiums with little to no effort though.
TBF the Merkava’s have basically no Frontal hull composite.
Total Frontal Protection on their hulls is around 320-400mm(depending on the shell). Which most tanks at the higher tiers can punch through with ease.
The reason the Merkava (a quite poor MBT) has a Reputation of being “Good” is because its never had to fight other modern tanks, and what “Tanks” it has fought, have been T-55s and other Soviet hand me down junk.
The things would CRUMBLE in the face of even a 105 armed M1 Abrams. hell id argue of the Modern MBTs, the Merkava is the absolute worst of them, even taking into account the Challenger 2.
thats the average experience when facing russian heavys like IS-3 to IS-7, your shoots will bounce or do little damage but theirs will nuke your crew trought the mantlet
Please send the HitReplay, when, yes screenshots can show some flaws in War Thunder calculation but with the HitReplay data would be better to understand your argument.
I have no doubt that Multicrew Tank Combat 4 Staff gives some importance to the balance, tanks are the weakest weapons in this Roblox Experience when compared to self propelled guns capable of engaging with full cover with indirect fire, portable and unmanned anti-armor weapons.
I can’t say nothing against, I’ve seen lower caliber APDS in some cannons easily penning angled targets, I don’t think this is exclusive to the Conqueror but mostly how lower caliber APDS, specially in 25 mm caliber behave compared to 30 mm up to 120 mm caliber.
Yeah that mantlet is the bane of my existance while playing the Conq.
Everything goes through it and it’s very stupid.
A tank designed to be hull down in prepared positions with such a massive weak spot doesn’t make any sense. it’s literally where the enemy shots would land the most if a hit would be scored.
