Why on earth does this map even exist for destroyers?

Fuego Islands is a monument to the incompetence of the naval map designers for gaijin. The destroyer spawns are a ludicrous 3 km away guaranteeing that destroyers with the fastest reloads are near invincible unless you score a lucky hit on the ammo. Torpedoes can be spammed at a ridiculous degree and are very hard to avoid out of spawn. Uptiers which are already bad in naval are unbearable on this map. It’s so unbelievably terrible that I didn’t even bother spawning in. This should strictly be a low tier coastal map.

Less than 3 minutes into the game and the Frank Knox on the enemy team already has 4 kills. The reserve tier destroyers on my team never stood a chance.

This map is actually a side effect of changes made on the larger version of this map. The islands in A-B, F 7-8 used to be much closer to the C point with the destroyer spawns behind them. When they overhauled the map a fair while ago it seems they have overlooked this version.

It’s absolutely inexcusable. And the map changes that particular update were all rather questionable. I’d recommend banning that specific map if able, or otherwise just leaving it before you spawn in. It’s just atrocious when there are any destroyers other than the reserve ones present. And even then it’s not good.

Unfortunately, maps cannot be banned and that’s bad. You can only give them a thumbs up or down. But unfortunately, it’s not possible for a player to directly ban some maps that they really don’t want to play on, and that would also like to change. So what I recommend to men is that you don’t log in to those maps that you don’t like at all.

You see, this is why I said “if able”. Because if you have premium time you can ban one map per game mode.
