Why no moments of valor for canada this year?

If anyone remembers we had special packs of canada this day one year ago , which included an f18 , sabre and a mustang. Also no australia day this january , what happenned?

That’s July 1.

no it was june 1

here is your proof

Question: Has these ‘moments of valor’ every been repeated?

no idea , thats why im asking

They don’t seem to be doing moments of valour anymore. At best, we’d see a repost of the video last year in their news post for the discounts and decal that should be coming out this year.

But also, if there is anything this year, it won’t be until June 7th, as it came out for Canadian Armed Forces Day, which is the first Sunday of June.

No, it happened on June 1st last year, as that was the first Sunday of June.

Actually it’s Wednesday, June 10 this year. https://northbay.ca/our-community/events-programs/armed-forces-day/

The only people in all of Canada who do anything with “Armed Forces Day” is the RCAF airbase in North Bay. No one else here even knows it exists.

Why Gaijin is obsessed with a local town picnic instead of a real holiday that the military does cool stuff with like Army Day, or Canada Day for that matter, has always been a mystery.

Ah, by bad. I just quoted Gaijin, even tho I know not to do that.

Hmmm… I’m only seeing that as June 10th; everything else says the first Sunday of June, as it was Prime Minister Jean Chrétien said it would be. What is Canadian Armed Forces Day and why do we celebrate it? – True Patriot Love Foundation

I know they used to do decals for Canada Day, but a few years ago they switched to using every nation’s “Armed Forces Day” for decals and discounts.

If you want the background, in April 2002, after the shocking friendly fire deaths of 4 Canadians in Kandahar that were bombed on their rifle range by an American F-16, as the outrage washed over Canada, the House of Commons took up a motion that had been dying on the order paper by a local Ottawa MP, David Pratt, to create a “Canadian Forces Day” where there would be statements in parliament recognizing Canadian Force members sacrifices.

His reasoning on the date choice was to enable base picnics: “This date was chosen, and I had some good input on the matter from many other people, because it is generally the start of good weather across the country. Having a Canadian forces day on an annual basis the first Sunday of June would allow families to participate in various activities which may occur at bases across the country.” That’s really what it’s about. https://openparliament.ca/debates/2002/4/24/david-pratt-4/
