Well as per ADA339744 they got most of the way to a production variant, though the resultant “M6 Launcher” was not yet planned to be automated at the time the report was written(1997). But the automatic deployment mode had been demonstrated.
Who knows exactly what has happened in the intervening time, but steps have been taken towards automatic deployment upon detecting a threat in some way.

No the SEPv2 was a terrible addition. All it should have been was an armor upgrade package on the SEP which is all it is. The fact that when Gaijin marketed it’s addition 1 of the bullet points was the addition of crows in a game like WT is an absolute joke in itself.
It added an easier to hit HE trap on the roof.
I still find it incredibly annoying how the most major thing that the SEPv2 could have in game that would make it better than the SEP wasn’t even added. It’s just a heavier, slower SEP.
The ability to remove the the TUSK would have atleast made it a sidegrade. As of right now the SEPv2 is a downgrade to the SEP.

Yeah, the weakest tanks have APS: Merkava Mk4 and Challenger 2. Not T-series, Abrams, or Leopard 2 at this time.

Really terrible example the A6 has a longer barrel adding about 20-30mm extra pen.
The SEP added what a remote control turret? All turrets are remote controls in WT. Extra ERA? Doesn’t benefit anything really most ordnance being used at that tier is kinetic and the non-kinetic was mostly already negated by the single layer ERA. V2 is a Heavier SEP with more shot traps.

If the v2 was a squadron vehicle that would be more logical then adding it as another 400k rp in the US tree.
It did not as of right now you can get the same result arguably better result by taking 1 of the 11.7 abrams in your lineup vs the v2. Oh it’s another gen2 thermal abrams while nicer than gen1 saying it is a game changer to the gen1 on the a2 isn’t a crazy change most tanks at that br are gen3. Hell 122bplss has gen 3 commander and is still the same br as the gen2. So i don’t see gen2 thermals as warranting a .3 BR change.
SEP2 has the same exact APFSDS weakspots as M1A2, and less weak spots for HE and HEAT.
Also your assumption that ATGMs don’t exist at 12.0 is a bad assumption.

The Leopard 2A7V did go up in BR, then spall liners were nerfed even more than they were nerfed on dev server, and the survivability bonus was entirely nullified against semi-competent shots.
Not only do spall liners only work once, but they don’t reduce spalling like day one of major update.
I haven’t two shot a 2A7V in a long time.
One shot has been enough.
