The only one I missed is the original 122mm
Sound guy needs to feed his family
Where is the fireable WW2 guns except M2 especially axis side in the world then?
Current gun sounds are pretty awful imo, even with post WW2 guns, T-160/M39 20mm cannons sounds like pew pew guns from pre WW2.
Only decent change was MiG-15/MiG-17 guns but, still worse than pre 2017 sounds.
Vulcan sounds like a Vulcan currently. Guns don’t have bass IRL.
.50 Cal sounds like a 50 cal.
2017 sounds were 100% unrealistic movie-style sounds.
IRL M2 50cals sounds like original or 2014-2017 one for me.
Some guns were pretty close to the irl one such as T-160/ADEN/DEFA.
Current those cannons has really awful sound and ADEN/DEFA has same sounds with NR-30 which has completely different construction.
I have no idea why both things has same sounds tbh :/
That video, when you mentally filter out the mic peaking, sounds exactly like the 50 cal currently.
Because this can give them the excuse for delaying the fixing works of some issues.
Sound guy doesnt touch bugs, br, or models
The Vulcan It’s sounding exactly like a vulcan.
A airsoft Vulcan.
There is an infinite amount of recordings of the Vulcan cannon, professional and amateur, and none of them sound like a sewing machine. Until now!
Ok, I withdraw what I said. It’s just a complain.
I hate the new 9040 gun sound
Bro, half of the guns sounds don’t even have a sound frequency that matches their actual rounds per minute. For the sake of fidelity, it’s better that Gaijin keeps changing them.
- The M61 Vulcan and GAU12 mutli-barrel guns, we realise the updated sound was not seen as an improvement.
Yeah its way off.
Are you a sound engineer? If not then please shhhhh
The NEW explosions and missile launch (jet talking) were AWESOME. They removed them with the last little update :/ Why?
Because their audio department has to justify their existence every other big update.
Last updates sound were awesome, seek and destroy sounds are mostly mega dogwater.
sEEK AND DESTROY jet sounds were awesome.
It isn’t hard to figure out how to do sound design. The hard part is recording & mixing. Or taking publicly usable stock sounds and mixing it.
I’m currently working on a sound mod that will revert the gun sounds back to pre-2018 and how awful their current sound implementation is.
The current gun sound is basically a lot of noise thrown into single event so, it would be much larger capacity than the “legacy” style used until 2020 and would affect game performance.
