There is NO reason for this thing to STILL be stuck at 8.3, all of its contemporary’s went down to 8.0, Its now slower than every other 8.3, has a worse armament, is less agile than basically everything else in its BR bracket, can’t climb or boom and zoom since you nerfed its engine, nor can it turn fight after you nerfed the hell out of its Flight model. Despite the fact the Swift was a Notoriously agile plane, that just had issues stalling.
I agree its probably having a hard time rn (never played it but i believe you based on other 8.3s ibe played, but i shouldnt go down that would only make things worse, everything else should go up (as in 8.7-14.3) so that the f86s and mig15 can go back up as well as the f104a and c
Decompression is always the answer, putting things down in br only causes more compression
This plane has belonged at 8.0 for years before they even moved the 8.3s down. it already was a BAD plane.
Especially after they nerfed its engine and flight model a couple years ago, now its just pain.
It bleeds speed like crazy in even a simple turn, it can barely out turn a Aim-9B if you are anywhere under 400mph, the Flap/airbrakes got nerfed a couple updates ago making them basically useless at actually being flaps OR airbrakes.
its engine got nerfed forever ago using stats from a PROTOTYPE 4 YEARS OLDER THAN THE PRODUCTION F1 IN GAME.
All the while the Swift was known as a Notoriously Twitchy and fast to react Aircraft that could retain speed in even the Tightest turns the Airframe could handle, the things even out manuvered Meteors in mock dogfights.
all Gaijin does tho i see that “Oh swift bad” because the planes had a few Landing incidents due to Pilots not being familiar with the Aircraft, and its relatively High stall speed.
the main reason the swift is a high BR is kinda obvious if you look at its names, its very fast, you can use it basically like an F104 if youre fighting a 7.3s
I just use it in GRB, tbh. Outruns pretty much any CAS that people try bring at 8.3. That whole BR bracket is a bit iffy for GB. It’s why Sea Vixen is one of the least regretful purchases I’ve made.
