Rooikat ZA-HVM isn’t happening, the model was created before its status was fully understood. As such its been permanently set aside and won’t make it to the game.
Another game where the IRST just won’t lock onto things against clear sky within 5km. Extra ironic when all the top tier SAMs got their IRST ranges buffed earlier this year and Thales’ own brochure claims 10km+ detection ranges vs helicopters.
How is a vehicle allowed to remain at practically unusable levels of broken for the entirity of its time existing in game bar one patch? You never see issues like this with the big 3 that don’t get resolved within a week tops.
Welcome to Britain
Couldn’t they just have a tracked Mobile rapier missile system in its place if it did go up in BR still has the same 7km range.
Add Martlet(LMM) to stormer. Problem solved
I’d rather a separate stormer with martlets, gives you a 2nd spaa vehicles to spawn at that BR if it’s folder’d at 50% it doesn’t matter too much for the grind and will be worth it imo.
A Stormer with Martlets would just be a better ADATS. 16 reloadable missiles with a stabiliser to allow for shoot on the move (when Gaijin realises it should happen). That would be a 12.0 vehicle.
I would just take a tracked Rapier or Stormer 25/30
What would it’s range be tho? I doubt those little missiles are hitting 10km like the Adats
7-8km but it wouldn’t matter considering that most people are going to coming towards you blissfully unaware that they are being targeted by an IRST instead of a radar
On another note for an SAM system can I interest anyone with the cactus?
Played today again with this joke.
Helis are a challenge too, 2/3 of the time it just phase out. Planes? Dont even try it just “J” out.
How come that they cant fix it? If they cant fix such a simple code, why should i belive the “ultra complex” damage model that they advertise?
They should refund my Talisman on it, because it doesnt work, and will never work (until it comes to russian tech tree too)
It doesn’t feel much different to facing a strela tbh. They have 5 to 6km lock range now and sit at be 9.3, so a LMM at 10.3 hardly feels overpowered.
It does raise very serious questions about Gaijin’s quality control and prioritisation of issues.
It’s not even an tech issue, i.e.the range being too short, the manouverabilty etc. It’s not even something like the LOSAT which you can understand being low on the priority list. It’s a straight up bug with a totally broken, critial vehicle. I mean, what the hell.
There is absolutely zero excuse Gaijin can make for this.
Oo. Now that’s sexy.
Decades ago, I played a game called World War 2 Online. THey had an issue of BF-110’s doing vertical dives and salughtering A-13’s, disabling matilda II’s etc. It went on for years. This is where my burning hatred of aircraft in games comes from.
The difference between the Martlet and Strela is that
- The Stormer has a full IRST while the Strela has a very loud tracking radar
- The Martlets have a HEAT warhead and can be used against ground targets.
The radar on the strela is only used if you want to. I pretty much never use it. There’s zero warning for a strela firing at you normally.
I’m not sure the HEAT warhead is too much of an issue, I’m pretty sure the LMM has a HE blast warhead too so we’d get that one.
Stormer launched can get to 7 km range with max range being 8km while on heli.
Heh. If we go by the precedent set by the vikhr, we won’t have to select the warhead type before launch and it would kill both tanks and aircraft effectively. What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander.
(I’m not expecting it, just being facetious)
Dual mode so dual mode
