but wait… are the starstreaks on the apache FNF? (I don’t have it yet) But if it does, surely that means both the missile and the radar have the requirements and existing “technical limitations” to work?
No, you have to manually guide them on the apache.
I’m pretty sure the automatic guidance mode used in the new radar mode just isn’t accurate enough to get them to hit, therefore its pointless
They require manual guidance with lots of small adjustments to hit
I can tell you, its because their lazy or simply dont want to put that much effort into the British tt. How hard do you think it would be to code a way for the game to give the correct lead for the stormer to hit targets reliably? The amount of effort just wouldn’t be worth it in their eyes.
Yeah. Would take them 10 seconds to code it.
How in gods name did they break it again? The missiles feel sluggish (even more than usual, somehow, which is impressive considering the minimum effective range was already ten times what Thales states), the overlay at the top is COMPLETELY detached from the azimuth/distance display (and does NOT point you towards the target whatsoever)
when you try to lock, the search pattern for acquisition is COMPLETELY broken and searches at a minimum of something like +10 degrees…
I have absolutely no words. No update has managed to make the stormer properly unplayable for me before this - even when it was desynced and phasing through targets I learned to lead and account for it, but now the sensors don’t work. The main advantage of the entire system besides the darts, which also don’t work as intended. It’s absurd.
it CANNOT be that hard to go ONE UPDATE without touching the goddamn stormer and its starstreaks. Just let things work for once, please. And at the absolute minimum QA the damn changes instead of just rendering the entire system useless for something like the tenth time.
I’m unsuprised, It’s really not a true War Thunder update if it doesn’t completly break the Stormer.
